Yeah, some datacenters are showing a different number of backlinks for me. I never checked to see if all DC's had settled on the same number yet though. Did they? Edit: McDar posted same time as me
I'm showing the same numbers as current (2530 BLs). I'm using the mcdar tools to see them. My other site shows 2 less links :O
I had checked and found all datacenters showing the new Backlink Totals after this recent update. Now I am seeing yet a newer Backlink Count (lower than the previous). 214 > 192 > 167
Have your allinanchors changed yet? I don't see anything positive from it. Guess I'm expecting too much too soon. LOL
most of our sites I have checked have some small flux but one of our sites is jumping between 596 and 1130 bl's.
The sites I checked also had discrepancies. In most instances backlinks have gone down by a few. Shannon
No change to serps or allinanchors YET. Usually, normal changes roll out on Google around 3:AM EST (for me) Caryl
NetMidwest The GET variable added on to the wrong page is a reference number for the relevant review grabbed from my site's database. It's only valid for review.php, but for some reason, they're tacked onto log-in.php which uses sessions and not GET variables. Very strange... In addition, I get a couple of referrers a day from google.com/translate_t where I never got them before.
LOL. Google now thinks a site they gave a PR increase to last week (from 4 to 5) now has 0 incoming links, no related sites, and a ton of supplemental results on the site: command (most of which were deleted two years ago). [site is easyautopart.com] Unfortunately, the allinurl: search for the domain is showing some wickedly strange results as well; are the 302 problems returning for G? Canonicalization is completely whacked out. Cygnus
Maybe this is why they made so much of a deal of it being a 3-part update... Part 1 wasn't too screwy, but certainly caused some quirks. Part 2 has created a lot more quirks. Hopefully Part 3 ties up the loose ends, though I highly doubt it. They seem more concerned with launching a "me too" Craigslist than improving their search engine.
No there to concerned with taking over the Internet/Ecommerce world. They are big time losing focus on search IMO.
Maybe they (Google) are planning for the future rather than sitting around looking at the past. Google is making massive profits, and taking more and more marketshare by the day. They created a free service for people who sell goods, called Froogle, a free News facility, it is right then that product pages fro ecomm sites should not appear in the regular SERP's . Much as I hate it, go create a froogle feed! Google are going to move into classifieds, including motors and property resale. What is wrong with that ? They are a business, it is what they do. Microsoft did it, Walmart did it. Why hate Google for doing it? Like it or not Google are delivering the bulk of search traffic to the average site. more than Yahoo! but with roughly the same market share, so what does that tell you? G! have said they are rolling out 3 indexes, so this tells me they are complex issues, how can you expect everything to be fine and dandy while they are doing this?
Do you think google is in danger of becoming the next most hated corporation to Microsoft? We love companies that do things for free like google search engine, but when they try to take over too many areas do we grow to hate them?
1720 > 752 > 642 backlinks. Proxy trash is still in there... Another site still shows at #1 for a full serp search (omitted results included) for allinurl: for my domain... Just backlinks. I was hoping maybe the serps would clean up a bit.
Yes. - This is how many already do feel. I wish I had the URL that showed the feelings of people, but people are now relating Google to Evil.
Very strange things are happening IMO: My Pagerank 5 website has no cloackingpages whatsoever. Everything is optimized thru the "white-hat" SEO way. My site allmost doesn't show up in Google, i used to be nr1,2,3 etc. for a lot of keywords and now i'm on page 4 and 5! When i type my domainname like xxxxxx.nl in Google, all the backlinks like DMOZ are showing up with the name in it, but my own domain doesn't. There are no visual signs of a ban because all the backlinks are ok, the pagerank is till PR5 and a lot pf PR4 html's and the descriptions are also good. If i understand correctly this is the way "Jagger" is working: - Jagger1 - active last week (PR updates) - Jagger2 - is running now - Jagger3 - will start today or in a couple of days and will end somewhere next week. I have no paid backlinks, i don not sell backlinks. Will my site be back in the top of Google or is it over and out for me? Kind regards, Raymond
