The planet's board of councils have issued an award throughout the galaxy for those who will provide information that will lead to him. They also published a picture of the missing allien: Later the melmacs found that Alf was being kept on earth in a secret location by the US government who conducted cruel experiments on it. But the worst of all was yet to be revealed: Alf had forgotten all about melmac, and decided to become human. He even liked Pizza! Now if you look at the trajectory and interpolate it not without taking the retroactive trajectories of all known heavenly bodies into account, it becomes clear that the trajectory points undoubtedly to the Hydra Centaurus Supercluster, the cluster in our galaxy (the milky way) where planet melmac is located. Therefore, as a revenge for corrupting his mind and making him believe the he belong to the human race: the only race in the galaxy that would believe anything he's being told, even that Yonah lived in a "big fish" or that a man physically climbed to the skies after his death, the melmac decided to punish and hit the leader of the free world.

Fwiw... I think Blogmaster was jerking our chain with this thread, checking to see who'd bite on the forbidden fruit of silliness. Fortunately there's an unending supply of people on the net that'll jump on even the craziest of hair-brained theories, which does keep it entertaining.
After looking at the still picture it looks like the president was shot with a high power rifle from behind. If it was from the grassy knol then Jakie would have been covered with blood splatter and the impact would have been different.

I think that this scenario is just as plausible as any other scenario that has been suggested alternate to what may have really happened.
I'm guessing the stars denote entertainment value more than plausibility. I'll admit that tho I didnt star it, I'm watching some of the responses the way I'd watch a wreck on the freeway. I realize it is in poor taste to gawk, but it still has an odd fascination.
I recall seeing that picture in a video I watched in a history class in my sophomore year of HighSchool. I seen the whole thing and I nearly lost my lunch.
