I am not sure how many Potter fans there are in this forum, but here you go. JKR has said that Albus Dumbledore, Supreme Mugwump, Headmaster of Hogwarts and the only-man-that-Lord Voldemort-ever-feared was gay. http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/10/20/arts/NA-A-E-BKS-US-JK-Rowling.php I have nothing against homosexuality, but I wonder why she chose to reveal that fact now. There was nothing in the series that suggested homosexuality. Like other fans, I assumed that he chose to remain a bachelor or had a wife and child who were killed in the war against Grindelwald. Wonder what HP would think now of his comment in HBP-' I'm Dumbledore's man through and thorough'
yeah, just read that in the newspaper... while reading the seventh part, i didnt get a feel if he was a gay or not.. well, never thought that way.. i think its all publicity now.. the series is over now.. why doesnt J K Rowling just give up.. trying to keep HP alive.. for me, HP died when she announced that HP7 is da last book of the series.
Read it in the papers too - 'twas in the front page. I agree with hnhuty, its just silly announcing things like that now - it makes me want to read the 600 pages again and I have little time to spare
I can see it now the religious leaders demanding a ban/picketing on/of the future release of the movies. Which is good for me. More room when I go see it on the big screen.
