iWebtools Directory removing listings?

    Hi,

About a year ago iwebtools sent out an email to say that all free listings would be changed to an annual payment instead. Of course, everyone complained (there were threads here and on their own forums) because we added them as free permanent listings. So they agreed that all those listings would remain permanently, just new listings would become annualy paid.

I've just looked for mine and can't see it anywhere, has anyone elses "free" listing now been removed?

You talking about free listings removed?

Scammers also removed Paid Permanent listings claiming they were annual. Stay away from iwebtools!

So what is the matter ? you had something free on their directory and now you don't.These is the consequence of the free submissions.

The issue is that they originally advertised them as permanent listings, they then decided to change it to annual, you can't say one thing and do another and expect to retain your credibility. If it's permanent why should it ever be removed?

umm i would expect it from them. I submitted once to their directory a long time ago as permanent listing in the top category. Turned out they changed the interface and want me to go in like 4 category more deep so i took my refund because i didn't want to deal with them anymore. Just because they are a good company doesn't mean they are good.

I had some other issues with their directory.
I bought an annual listing 14 months ago. Obviously since the listings are annual, it was supposed to be renewed after 12 months. But iwebtools have no notification system system for expiring listings. Once the deadline was reached, they removed links without further notification. I don't think that's a professional attitude.
Honestly, now that they removed it, i really don't feel like buying a listing again!
I wonder if they expect advertiser to keep track of the date links are expiring. Coz no one really can. Best solution would have been that either they go for yearly subscription or they could have notified a week before the listing was due to expire.
Sorry for being a little off-topic from the OP.

Show me directories that have notification system system for expiring listings.
For thousands of directories based on phpld there's no more than 10 that support such feature. I know it well as I installed necessary functions for few only. For 99% or more it's not working.

But then they do have annual subscriptions. Isn't it! :)
I didn't knew iwebtools was on phpld script, honestly.

Okay, agreeing to you i will disregard the one option of notification. If i am wrong about the second one also, then let me know!

I didn't say iwebtool dir is phpld based. But we know than most are.
So if 99% doesn't support expiry notification, there's nothing new that iwebtool also doesn't have such feature.
And when we're talking about subscription - this is something completely different. As I remember iwebtool didn't offer automated PayPal subscription.
I had some listings with them and everytime it was one time fee.
If PayPal subscription not used (it's ok as most submitters wouldn't be happy when billed automatically), there should be expiry notification system at least.
But as I mentioned: 99% directories do not have such feature.
