prediction just some kind of guess. it will or will not be the same as it said. but anyway if you really want to gain higher PR, just keep building good back links.

I agree that the PR prediction tools are for "fun only". But let's admit it, plenty of us DPers look at them a lot around PR update time — just "for fun" of course.

I guess it doesn't mean much either way since google updates pagerank constantly and thus its reflected in the search engines constantly.

The iwebtool's PR prediction tool is for entertainment purposes only as malcolm1 said.

It predicted PR8 (7.9) for Alive Web Directory.

It predicted PR4 for my directory that is PR6 now.

The fundamental flaws I find with the tool is that - it used to take MSN backlinks for its calculation. Now it is taking Yahoo backlinks as MSN has stopped showing its backlinks.

Whereas its Google who awards PR.:D So there will always be discrepency.

I used the tool for about a years worth of updates and it was accurate every time until the most recent updates, with which it was just way off the mark.

It is a kind of metric, but has no relation to Google's PR. If your predicted rank there, goes up, you are getting better, but this has nothing to do with your PR.
You have to see it as a different kind of ranking.

It worked fine for me ~ but after this PR update i think it's a false prediction ....or may be google has changed this PR algorithm thats why this tool fails to show accurate results,No?
