I've sold my site. Now what?

I have put my site on here for auction, the auction has ended and someone has been successful. I was just wondering what I need to do now? How best should I go about it?

Just contact the successful bidder and ask him about his interests regarding buying your site, you can locate the bidder via bidding panel at your thread you can then pm him/her

    Hope this helps

I also just successfully sold a site. What I did:

    1) After it is done and auction is won, You will need to initiate the payment from the buyer and ask them how they are going about it. Try to avoid paypal, as you cannot get refunds for digital products on there. You can use services like Escrow.com but they charge 5% I believe, and with them they make sure both parties are happy, and then they release the money that the buyer has already given to them, but this should only be used if the sale is higher, as it costs. This is used on Flippa Quite a bit

** In my sale I had the buyer send the funds, and once they cleared in my bank account via wire transfer, I then gave him what is called an "Epp Key" which is what you will need to get from your domain registrar (GoDaddy etc.) to transfer ownership, so new buyer can put it in his name. If you have it on your own hosting you will also need to have the buyer change the nameservers to his own hosting. All costs accrued should be covered by the buyer. Only give up that epp key if the money has cleared, and it is all set from what you agreed on, and should have wrote a quick contract for.

Now that he has the epp key he can put it in his name, and transfer it to its new hosting account

    /Done tbh

Agree with what you said. All what is important is Epp key tell only when you get the payment.

Do absolutly nothing until you receive full payment unless otherwise agreed to.Partial payment ought to mean partial transfer of files and database but that can get messy.
