I've posted several times that the tiny amount of traffic MSN sends to my site has never moved up... and just found this article about it

    http://msnbc.msn.com/id/7254015/

    old habits die hard

MSN has to prove itself several times over, and keep touting the innovation horn.

I think that the MSN search is great from the end of somebody searching. But, like the article said I am one of those people who has been using google for so long it's become habit for me to search using google.

I would agree with the above post in that using google has become habit, they have been at the top for some time and now it is ingrained for many people to head straight to google.

After seeing a big pick up in traffic from MSN, it seems to have completely dropped off again. I had hoped for better things, but it's just not happening right now.

i'm just wondering... how can that be so? there are only 6+ billion of us in this planet - i wouldn't have thought that there are so many internet users in this world - even if each internet user had 2 ip address...

I don't think the article specifically said "unique" visitors. It just said "visitors". I know I go to google about 3-4 times a day. That adds up to 100+ visits/month.

MSN is just too easy to spam.

Unless they fix that, they will never be able to compete with Google.
