Hi I'm running out of ideas in getting more links from gift related sites. I've submitted to all the decent directories I can find, have started a blog, doing article submissions. Looked at what my competitors are doing. Tried social networking sites like stumbleupon etc but don't really get it. I can't seem to get any links with a good page rank and i don't really want to pay for them or pay an seo company forever. Anyone have any ideas of what else I can try? Thanks Lianne
there are lot of ways to get backlinks. however, it takes time for the links to show for your site. just keep building and be patient. below are some ways to get backlinks: directory submission article submission do follow blog commenting press release guest blogging squido lens hubpages forum signature paid links and blogposts, etc

www.hubpages.com and www.squidoo.com They are essentially mini websites that are very easy to setup. It's like an article that you can add images, ads, polls and more to.
Related reciprocals are good even if the page has no PR. Try this in Google: "Add URL Gifts" or other keywords related to "Gifts". This should bring up some sites that would be willing to exchange links.
