I've never seen this before...

I was looking at my site and I noticed 2 adds were in a foreing language. Why is this? Can anyone tell me? Thanks... Nicolas

Your site contents = all in English?

 

Does a large portion of your traffic come from foreign countries? I've seen this happen on a number of proxy sites...

I've seen them too on my site. Just use the ad filter.

Well... All my content is in English, and I have some traffic from UAE but not much. Im still a little confused about it.

 

Saw them on some of my sites also.

Competitive filter took care of it.

 

happens alot from my google referals from like, www.google.cn (or any other alphabet nations google) when you use image preview of the page (when it is in frames still via google).

 

i think you browse using foreign ip/proxy.

 

here is the solution.
I had the same problem and Adsense team helped me with it, here is exact copy of email they sent me.

 

i had this before, i think this is happening because those foreign websites want alot of cheap traffic so they bid on low cost keywords to get it.
this is the only thing how can i explain it.

 

I'd suggest for others not to edit your code unless AdSense team OKs it.

 

But, does adsense show ads depending on the browser settings too? I mean, an arab set browser would see arab written ads. Is that true?

 

Exactly. I would NOT do it without shooting them an email to ask and if they approve it,then only edit the code. Otherwise, it's simply against their TOS.

 

sure, thats why i posted the email Adsense team sent me, the guy has little content on the page. i dont think adsense team will like the page at all one can edit the code only when the teams allows to.

 

I have seen it on my website too. But it was because of my keywords what I used in my content.

from wht i can see the ads in arabic so i think something on ur site realted to that arabic site

 

I get ads in arabic too in my sites sometimes. Guess they have glitches
elvirs's suggestion should help. Adding that line can't harm for sure.
