will software like online business builder or web ceo do similar tasks? they both have auto and manual url submission features. i really liked it initially, until i started doing more research and found that you can get banned from some sites/directories by using auto-submission software. this started me wondering if using them might harm my site in the long run.
Who told you that you get banned for using auto tools when submitting to directories? I own both article and link directories, and there's no way of telling how someone submitted. The tools just make a regular http port 80 request like a normal user.
it was dmoz.org, where i read that: "Auto-submission software is (and always has been) a violation of this procedure. Sites submitted automatically are flagged and deleted after the submission is accepted, without notification to you."
another one i came across: "Professional search engine optimizers, such as Jill Whalen, have stated that search engine submission is unnecessary. In fact, automated search engine submission may violate the search engines' terms of service, creating the potential for a site using such a service to be banned.[3]" Wikipedia #3 - Are Search Engine Submission Services Worth It?. webpronews.com (July 27, 2004). Retrieved on 2007-06-09. so our site may have been banned long before we knew that using those tools was a bad thing.
that seem really long to do, you should try to find a easy and quick to it. did you achive any thing this?
I came in here looking to pay someone to do social bookmarking for me, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for telling about Social Bookmarking Demon I never heard of it, if anyone is serious about their internet business, this software seems like a MUST HAVE, I have a couple hundred sites and now I can give this to one of my staff to learn - I thank you so much because I was ready to pay 100s of $ on an ongoing basis for this, $97 is an amazing price.
