Yes, I've been through many aspects of a webmaster, but have never blogged. I'm only starting up now. Now I see why most of DP are bloggers. I read 4 posts in the AdSense section. I've already written 3 articles on them. Talk about morons who need their food chewed for them Sure, the articles have to be written creatively and refreshingly originally, but hey, with people who don't understand what to do when clickbombed, I figure webmasters will never be out of jobs.
I have only just started blogging myself. Properly... I did have blogs before but these were either auto generated or used for other purposes. http://www.exposedseo.com I often find inspiration on DP myself.
Me too. I've never blogged, as I don't like writing at all and I think I don't have writing skills. I rather prefer the design stuff.
i never blogged either but l started blogging from yesterday! you can check my blog at http://5hr.org
The beauty of it is that I have exceptional writing skills, if I do say so myself. I've won a few provincial writing contests, like the 2005 BC Schizophrenia Essay contest which teachers forced us to enter, so I figure if I can work under forced conditions, wanting to write can only create amazing articles. Anyway, this was meant to mock dumb kids who have high hopes and give up when something goes wrong, not to share all of our personal blogs. But hey, why not. Mine is www.zedproxy.net, and though it's out for a little while due to some hosting issues, it should be back by tomorrow morning. I recommend it even if you don't want to learn about proxies, simply because the writing is more clever than much else of anything I've ever written.
It's hard to blog well, but if you do, traffic and revenue will go high. Not that you should blog for cash, I blog a lot just for fun
I blog to insert witty smart-alec remarks somewhere where people will see them. My social scene doesn't really consist of very intelligent people, but I'm fine with that, as long as I have DP/Blogs/Webmastering in general as an outlet.
I started blogging about a year ago with http://www.sheley.org We recently switched my wifes site to a blog www.a-sheley.com and he hits have gone up 100%. To put it in perspective, we had her site with static html pages for 3 years and had about 35,000 hits in those 3 years.. I know, not much.. Once we switched to a blog her hits have gone up to 12.000 a month and it only gets better as I learn about different social networking sites that work with bloggers and seo techniques
