I've made my mind up! I'm joining!

Looks like there is a lot of people who claim that Amazon only gives few sales. This is probably true, I don't deny it.

Very few people on this forum seem to make quality money with Amazon's affiliate system.

    Why am I joining?

It has everything I need. I have a niche that can link to specific products that users will need to buy. The low commission isn't necessarily bad, as return traffic is expected.

So, I've made my mind up! Now, any suggestions before I set myself up for failure? :p

If you're confident you might as well give it a try, you can always switch it with something else if it performs poorly. If anything you'll have learned something new. :)

Just flipping banners doesn't work very well. IMHO, quality content with deep-linking works best.

The content is some of the finest! With a week up, I'm already seeing some good traffic from search engines for competitive phrases/keywords.

Now I just need to keep expanding :)

I joined amazon around 1 year ago and have never used it yet. I can still login to my account so at least they don't seem to close your account after a certain amount of days of inactivity unless they do it after every 2 years or so. lol

Anyway, I hope you have some good luck with this.

I just picked up a site with AOM. I messed around with Amazon many moons ago. Guess I'll do a little more now.

It's just hard getting excited over pennies per transaction, but the potential is there. I mean heck, I spend a lot of money with Amazon each month. :)

    Good luck Zac

I hate that. You get a sale and it is only for $0.37 sents or something. You can get much more than that from a free signed up lead.

That's one good thing about finding the higher paid products and then promoting them as a sale is hard to get so it's best that once you get it, you are paid well for it.
