Hi everyone, just wanted to share my good news with you lot. Basically, I started my site http://www.banglafootball.net about a year ago, not for money, but because there was only one site about Bangladesh (where I'm originally from) football (soccer - may favorite sport) and that had not been updated for like 5 years (which I think is shocking). More about the creation of my site can be found here. Anyway, I didn't bother about making money and just slapped some Adsense ads on and got a few clicks here and there. Any money I got from clicks I thought was good, because I had only spent about $9 on the domain name. Then my blog became a PR4 site and someone emailed me wanting to buy some paragraph text links. They offered me $140 and I was genuinely shocked (I was expecting around $30). That's when I realized that real money, even if it's not a lot, can be made by normal people on the net. They wanted to pay $100 for a permanent paragraph text link on my homepage and $40 for paragraph text links on 4 of my blog posts. I didn't mind the blog post links but I didn't want an ugly paragraph on my homepage for life. They eventually decided to forget about the home page links and added another blog post link, the total coming to $50. Great, I thought. This had really whetted my appetite and I realized the potential. Then a few weeks later, whilst looking for places to sell links on, I came across DP. And now, with my 25+ posts and 2 weeks membership under my belt, I have sold a few links on my site. Thanks to all the kind folks on DP who bought links on my site. My total earnings for my site now stand at $152.01, with a net profit of $137.57. My next target = make $500 Wish me luck.
137 bucks is not a lot of money in london, but close to fortune in bangladesh. just wishing lot of success with your site.
I am glad you are able to make money And its nice that you are building your site for fun and interest, thats the main issue if you build it like that then you make it about the quality and not only about the profits and people notice it, And the money will come as it came to you...Quality does matter
I know it's not a lot. But that's not the point. It's that I've made this money online in my spare time. If I were to put more effort, and learn more things, then I could earn much more. Not enough to live on mind you (I've got a part time job) but just some extra spending money. That's all. Thanks for wishing me luck.
Good news to you....mine, i made 130 after 3 months...i am targeting now for a minimum of 100 per month...
good for you, at least you already been paid for that hard work. Actually for the first time income from that site it is not about money but more on rewarding yourself. Keep it up and strive for next milestone.

You really think so? I spent a lot of time on it and I only have basic photoshop skills. I was thinking about hiring someone to do it for me, but then I thought forget it. You should have seen some of the ones I had before that - they were horrid! lol
Congratulations! Regardless of whether its a lot of money or not, everyone has to start somewhere and that;s a pretty impressive start! I hope things keep improving for you.
