I've just become a Dmoz editor! Now what?

I applied yesterday, and became an editor today. Now, my question is "Is it normally difficult or easy to be an editor?"

I just filled in the application, and that was it. I didn't really think too much about that, nor did I lie or anything. I was just honest with everything.

    Now what?
Don't say anything bad about DMOZ and be careful on this forum or you could lose your editorship.

    britishguy,

I dedicate my second post to you: ;)

    dvduval,

I didn't say anything bad, and would not say. If anything, I would say positive things for accepting my application that quickly, and for being a part of their editor team now. You know, I was extremely honest in the application, and never exaggerated anything. It didn't even take a long time to fill the application. I just filled it, and then submitted.

What I am wondering is if it is normally difficult or easy to be a Dmoz editor.

I tried to get in to that DMOZ so many times but I guess they think I'll do organized crime (which is not a bad idea anyway) and that's why they lose my application all the time .. :(

Ha ha ha ... yep .. a lot of money in this DMOZ ... especially in some cats ...

Cheers, and I hope you get some good sites up ...

answered in my first and last last posts..

I am wondering how difficult it it is to be a Dmoz editor. Are there any people here who applied and got rejected. Or any people who got accepted quickly?

    venetsian,

If you are thinking that way, of course, you will get rejected. You should have sheer interest in the category, and this will naturally surface when you submit your application.

Question: How can they read my mind and know what I think? I just put regular application and that's it ...

    Please answer

It is a pretty silly question to post here, why not post in the dmoz section. Are you looking for bribes from directory owners by-any-chance?

What are you doing here? There are tons of sites that need to be approved, log in to your editorial console and start approving :D

No, you didn't, and I'm sorry if I came accross as harsh. I didn't mean it that way, but there are a number of stories here on DP where people lost their editing priviledges. I am one of them. And there are several others that were highly respected that lost their priviledges too.

That plus do not start a site like dmoz resources for webmasters to try to help webmasters cause they will boot you cause the stinky RZ is trying to be the boss of dmoz now.

You should be safe otherwise, just do like 1 edit in 3 months if you are just there for the name and in a year from now, you can be like other metas(aka corrupt and selfish bastards) and make some money off dmoz, whohoo, like ivan did lol :D

I helped out a couple of webmasters with status requests at your forum, now I am getting called a selfish bastard. Strange how you are having trouble getting editors to help out at your forum.

Are you saying that Ivan is a corrupt and selfish bastard as well? With friends like you who needs enemies.
