I have been link building sinc May this year and I have seen a steady climb up the rankings. I noticed last Friday that 1 of my sites was #3 on Google, this is down to link building! I am competing against comeptitors who are on DMOZ, for some insane reason I can't! I'm beginning to think my competition are editors... I have used blog commenting, article submissions, directory submissions (according to Google this is dead now) and forum posts. All I can say, is that it works! Do not give up keep building and you will get there!
Good job! It can be very rewarding to watch your site gradually climb the rankings. Keep it up and you should be able to get to #1. As for dmoz...it is not surprising that you cannot get listed. Nearly everyone has that problem these days. I think a lot of people volunteered as editors and then stopped reviewing sites. In some cases it probably was competitors becoming editors to block other submissions.
How can you keep up with many of the tasks for link building. I'm personally very tired on doing link building. Thanks.
Well done. I think persistence is the key. It is too easy to get bored with a site and move onto something else. If you keep at it you will get there.
