I am FINALLY going to buy links

Has anyone ever heard of Google penalizing someone for buying links?

Its been years of holding out... while my competitors are all at the top of the SERP's buying link after link

    I have 2 websites

My main site I am going to leave alone keep it 100% white hat

But the other one.... ITS LINK BUYING TIME

Do you guys have any advice on what type of links to stay away from etc? (i.e. blog roll whatever that is)

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

Are you after traffic or PR? Google penalize links that looks like for manipulation, that's why there's "nofollow" attribute for buying and selling links.Maybe you should look for being a sponsor rather than link buyer.

I buy links all the time and I don't think you should get punished by GOOGLE just for buying links unless they are not related. Just go and buy related links and you would be fine. Google sell links so why would they hit you if you buy a link space.

Link-buying is very risky. If someone snitches on you, your site could get banned.

In your position I would report all your competitors' link-buying activity to Google, in triplicate, from different accounts. Also go to the link-building section of this forum and other forums and post their URL's and show where they are buying links. They will all get killed, leaving you to dominate the serps.

    Hello...

As someone pointed above its not a sin to link with others or gain backlinks
but rather not manipulate by linking with high PR sites that are irrelevant.

If you venture in the link sales or whatever section of DP just be careful and do
any and all transactions privately... (just PM them) ;)

that way the freakin Ratts can get at yo cheeze
    :D

    thx

That's kind of dark dude, I don't think that's good practice at all.

I recommend using Automatic Backlinks. Here's a post I wrote reviewing the platform - http://www.iamseo.org/seo-news/automatic-backlinks-while-you-sleep/

No aff link, just my honest review.

I also use http://www.sponsoredreviews.com though, again, it requires a lot of attention to make sure no one is using scraped content in the reviews. The most important thing here, I think, is to look for a local IP. That's a little harder to do on Automatic Backlinks, though it is cheaper.

You could also consider setting up Adwords? I manage these accounts if you need help.

    Always go for quality links
    1. Check the backlinks - .gov and .edu will be great if the site has those links to it
    2. Traffic - might bring in quality traffic to your site too!
    3. Check history of site - do not buy from dropped domains (lots of these in the Link sales section, definitely not worth it!)
    4. Monthly subscription payment will be good, so that you can keep track of the quality of the link!

When it seems cheap, it always seems fishy!

Don't purchase links. It's definitely not a good idea. Just exchange links with people in the same niche as you.

link buying is not a problem
only thing dont buy link from those sites which publicly sell links.

and If you trust links from not related sites will ban you then buy links in not related sites for your competitor.
    so that he gets banned.

i am not in that boat because i believe on practical experience and i buy links all the time.

    dofollow and nofollow both
high pr and zero pr what ever comes.
i always try to keep mix of it..

    forum signature
    blog comments

where ever I get opportunity i buy links
if i get my preferred anchor text then i love it.

If you are still scared.. then buy a new .info domain name
301 redirect it to your main domain.

if ur .info gets banned ur main domain remains harmless.
you are responsible for anything that happens on your site.
and not responsible for things happening on others sites. that is what i follow and believe..

    There is no such thing.

A link can have norel applied, which in base form means there is no relation (norel), and which indicates there is no trust for the site / blog / page.... being linked to....

However there is not anything called dofollow or nofollow within the major search engines.

Those are terms used by 99% of the online webmasters who are clueless on what they are writing about, their proper terminology, and how things actually work.

If your main purpose for buying links is to get higher PR then it's not a good idea. But everyone do buy links but never get penalized.

You have to find a method of buying links so they look normal link building to Google.

Yes, I have heard of people buying links. Buying links that pass page rank is a good way to get your site a penality.

If you buy a link, it has to use the nofollow tag.

LOL how the hell would anyone know the links pass PageRank, unless they worked at Google and could actually see the PageRank flowing to the suspected site???

Kev - Don't believe everything you read from Google.....

besides most governments in the modern world (and non government factions such as Al Queda),........... Google is the largest propaganda machine running.....

What they have to say, is often not reality....;)

    Go ahead and buy links:

    Guide for success:

    1. Buy links that are relevant
    2. Buy links with multiple PR's don't only buy links from High PR sites.
    3. Don't buy links from dropped, b.s domains.. always check history.
    4. Buy links from Websites with good alexa rankings.

That's all.... and your on the top.
But now.. you need lots of $$$$ monthly.

    It depends on the links:

    1) Buying a regular link that will sit on a page somewhere (risky)
    2) Buying a service where someone writes an article and points a link within it to your site (safe)
