I'm new to the whole selling informational products online thing and I was wondering if I could get some direct pointers of how to effectively sell my product... I've already been reading threads all over this forum but I have yet to really find some definitive answers... Bacially, I've written a great 320 page Ebook that gives detailed information and step-by-step guides of how anyone can get started doing the same things I have done to make money. I've focused on things like real estate, the market, owning a business and various online techniques such as arbitrage, online videos, content websites...etc. However, of the things I've been doing to make money, marketing informational products online isn't one of them. lol My book is of the highest quality - I even hired a team of editors to help with the editing of the book so it has excellent formatting, proper spelling and grammar. Plus, all the feedback I've gotten from reviewers is outstanding - the problem I'm having is really being able to market it effectively. I've tried creating captivating websites with great copy, but they aren't as effective as I'd like. So I'm wondering a few things... -Is there a place I can go to get effective sales copy for informational products written? The last thing I want is to pay a whole pile of money for copy that will sell less than what I've written myself. -What are some great ways to get buyers to my site other than google adwords? -What are the best ways to sell a book of this nature? -Is or are there people out there that can take a product like mine and market it/sell if for me? I know clickbank has their affiliate program, the only problem with that is that affiliates are forced to send people to my hop page - which must not have that great of web copy... -What tips and advice would you give for someone like me that is looking to get into selling informational products online. I've got a great product - I just need to sell it. And any help in that area would be much appreciated. Thank you
1) You can try posting a project at elance.com for a copywriter to write your sales page. You can have very cheap work done this way. 2) Participate in some forums related to the topics you have written about 3) Market your product in all the tradition IM ways. Directories, Articles etc 4) I dont know, are there people out there that can take a product like yours and sell it??? hehe. You are the best person to answer this. Focus on what the core of your book is about and approach some gurus in those particular topics. Ask them if they would be interested in signing up to your affiliate program. 5) As for tips and advice, all of the above should give you a bit of a hand. Just keep at it, if something isnt working try a different approach, eventually youll get there. Hope this helps
It sounds like you have been involved in many ventures. A 320 page book is very long. Maybe you should just focus on one venture that you made money in and shorten the book and focus the book on that venture. With all the different ventures you talk about, buyers may become intimidated and think it is going to cost a lot of money. Thanks, Jim
break your ebook up into the different topics and sell separately. You don't want to comfuse them with going back and forth through the topics.
It sounds as if you have 5-6 e-books on your hands. When people download an e-book, contrary to popular opinion, they are looking for quality, not quantity. I know there are readers and things like that out there, but I think the average buyer you're marketing to is planning to read this book on his/her computer. Ask yourself, would you really want to sit at your computer to read a 320 page book? Plus, splitting up a big book (which, say you charged $40 for) you could charge $10 per book, and then get $50-60 if someone buys the whole book. Offering all 6 books as a package deal for $40 can make a great deal look even better.
