Alright guys, I'm looking forward to your suggestions.

I've got a semi-popular site and I've been online for just over 2 months.

I'm getting 2,000 to 5,000 uniques per day depending on who syndicates my articles. This is good and all, but I want MORE. The sites that post my articles are all getting 600,000-1,000,000 uniques per month, and I'm stuck at around 70,000. I've got good serp presence, awesome incoming links...should i target outside of my niche? If so, which sites/venues?

Also, it would seem that I need to lower my bounce rate. Any ideas on this?

Work on links for each page that has good content. Make sure to find something that earns you money like a good affiliate program also.

With that you could be earning around $200 a day with affiliate programs. Using adsense, about $20

So, do you have a sign up form (AKA Squeeze Page) to capture e-mails of your visitors?

Remember the money is in the list.....

If you are getting targeted traffic, I am sure you can find a good affiliate program to promote that is dedicated to your targeted traffic (there are tons out there) and if you are collecting their e-mails, you can pitch the uniques and quality people a product.

Better yet, if you are knowledgeable on the subject of your blog (obviously you are if you are getting that kind of traffic) maybe write something up to sell yourself and recruit a bunch of affiliiates through your e-mail list....

Many Many ways to make cash, if you have the traffic....

First off congratulations on the visitors that is GREAT!!

    Are you kidding about AdSense?

My friend runs a one page site with 10 dog tips on it, receives just over 200 uniques per day and makes WAY over $20/day from it.

The way I see it you could be raking in the dough with Google AdSence its one of the best programs to make money with if you can figure out good add placement.

I don't want to point out one of my sites specifically but here are some good example of what I am talking about:

    http://www.mastertemplates.com/
    http://templates4net.com/

The main thing these examples show is that its hard to tell the difference between the ads and the sites content, they don't break any rules of Google AdSence and convert very well.

One of the best techniques I have found is to combine images w/ Google Ads you can do this they just can't be "misleading images". I guess that is up for debate what is consider "misleading".

If I remember right you useto have a 1px border between the image and the ad something like that.

Now that you are getting traffic I would do a lot of research on click conversion. Text links convert way better then banners this is from experience and what every affiliate manager I work with tells me.

Well, how did you end up getting 2K-5K (which is amazingly big fluctuation...)? Can you do "more the same"? (I wonder why Alexa rank is 500K big though?)

Can you add more links to your articles to point to your site? (Or change the link text: such as from "copyrighted by THe Paranormal Report" to "Find out if there's life outside Earth, proceed to TheParanormalReport.com")

Besides - for only 2 months, that sounds work well done. Wait until it's 2 years old...

You look like doing well with your niche, I'd keep it going. That's what your readers want: parastuff.

Perhaps add RSS feed option and somehow make "most recent articles" more visible? I'd also consider changing clickable link headers bigger

I submitted articles to well know sites, and they ran them. I have the top researches, and very popular people in this field writing articles for my site. Yes, i can do the same. The alexa rank is so high because I've only been around for about 2 months or so, it was at like, 7 million something, then dropped to 3 million, then 1, then 700k if I'm remembering correctly.

Can you add more links to your articles to point to your site? (Or change the link text: such as from "copyrighted by THe Paranormal Report" to "Find out if there's life outside Earth, proceed to TheParanormalReport.com")

This is a problem, because when my articles are syndicated, they're only attributing my site as the "Source" and only post a partial of the article.

Besides - for only 2 months, that sounds work well done. Wait until it's 2 years old...

That thought delights me. I hope to be HUGE by that time.

I do have the RSS feed, and also a way to subscribe via email. What do you mean clickable link headers? The navigation bar?

no offense but one of my websites which is low 300k alexa rating gets around 2k hits a day not unique visitors. If you have that many unique visitors you should be easily in top 100k alexa

Yeah? Here's a pic. Maybe you can tell me what to do then (instead of contributing useless comments)...This screenshot it of awstats the left column is visits/day. If you still don't believe and want a bigger picture, ask.

No offense guys, but don't ever use that crappy aw-stats thingie in your cpanel, its incredibly inaccurate, and it logs HITS not uniques. I think statcounter.com is a better way of collecting statistics, or google analytics.

I've used awstat in the past, and it was "pretty okay" - but I agree that there are more accurate ways to measure stas. Today I use Google Analytics, which is simply great.

I run direct advertising on the site, so yea, I've gotta have accurate stats. In addition to what is in the Cpanel, I use quantcast, google analytics, and a few others. I've found quantcast to be a bit low compared to analytics, but meh...they're all around the same, give or take 10-15,000 visits/month. I just average em out. Here's a link to my quantcast so you guys can see what it's all about.

    http://www.quantcast.com/theparanormalreport.com

also, would everyone mind getting back on topic? I didn't come here to debate my stats. Does anyone have an answer, besides the good suggestions from Game Producer?

    I recommend AdToll.com

Their "default ad feature" allow you to mix and match what you want shown in your adspace.

Yes you can't beat google adsense. Try to put some nice layouts, and stuff. Make sure the adds blend in with the colour and theme of the site. Make sure you have two leaderboards one at the top and one at the bottom, and a rectangle on the right hand side immediately below the first leaderboard.
