Perez, like other entertainment blog publishers, has an account with Wireimage and gettyimages who licenses those photos. So Perez is using the photos legally because he has paid a usage fee. The same as CNN, NY Post, Fox News, etc., who also license entertainment photos from Wireimage and getty. That's why Perez writes on the photos to keep others from taking the photos off of his site and posting it on their own blogs.
I'll give you the secret to adsense right here right now. Its traffic. Targeted traffic yeilds higher CTR. Search keywords on google. If there is something like 94 million results for that keyword, then your crazy if you think you could get up there in the rankings overnight. (unless your using adwords). Find a keyword that is much much less but is still getting search and there you have a niche. Do some SEO for your site and you'll be rolling in the dough in a little more than 2 months.
Oh and one more thing my site in my signature ranks #1 in MSN for Funny Commercials. I did a search for link:funnycommercials.blogspot.com and that will tell you your link popularity. There are 68 links pointing to my site. You need lots of link popularity if you want to increase your page rank for google.
What I'm trying to say is that if you type in link colon and then the address of the site in google or msn. You can see how many links lead up to your site. The more links, the greater the link popularity and the greater your site will rank in search results and the higher your traffic will be. More traffic = more clicks = more mula. Example. Do a google search of link:google.com There are millions of sites linking to google which is one of the reasons why Google has a page rank of 10/10.
I searched Google for links and results said I have 156 links pointing to my site. But where does it indicate your site ranking?
If you have the google toolbar for firefox you can enable the page rank display and see your google page rank. 3 or above is decent. MSN I don't know.
And often it's not even really a reduction in "value" at all. Ads are usually for products to buy, so unless your site is an e-store, you're not giving your visitors exactly what's being sold. You want to offer people information related to something they want to buy. For example, you can create a fantastic and complete information source about a hobby and still not actually say where to buy all the products related to the hobby. Your ads fill that role.
