Hello, I have a question: Does being a member for a certain period of time add to the reputation points (green squares)? Like 10 points for every six months or smth. like that.. Or does it only depend on the feedback you receive from other members? I recently got 10 poins from somewhere (became 35) and I thought it might make sense, because, a person who has been an active member for a long time has more credibility that some one who signed up two days ago. I couldn't find any info in FAQs so I post it here. Thank you, -Bender-
The original rep info found here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1616#post1616. Since this post was made there have been additions such as the cost of giving negative rep, decreasing rep value in general chat etc.
As I understand it, you now can alter a person's rep by two rep points in most forums other than general chat.
Thank you for replies but, I think, I'm lost even more now So, the only thing that changes with time is my altering power? Why is it so important anyways...?
