I've been Chromed!

I was just testing some new code on my website with various browsers. When I
used Chrome I noticed that a phrase was lit up like a link, but it shouldn't have been.
When I clicked on it the dang thing was a Chrome-imposed link to one of my
competitors! This really really ticks me off.

What is going on, and how can I stop it?

Holy category winner! There are even links on the shopping cart checkout page that pop up an ad when you mouseover!

Check your addons, adware may have infected it.

I haven't purposely loaded any addons, I just use it for checking css scripts on various browsers.
Any idea of what add-on would do this?

So you think that this isn't a Google conspiracy to put ads on my site without paying for them?

Try loading it on another computer with different browsers.

That way you can see if it's some addon of yours or something else.

Is it really only on Chrome?

IF it's an attack from your competitor why would they attack your personal computer instead of your site? That would be no benefit for them.

One thing, have you ever copied your competitor's content to your site? Because there is a script that could inject a link back to the original content, I forgot the name.

I found one problem. There is an extension called "Giant Savings" that I eliminated. Since some of the ads were from "giant savings," this may be the problem. But does it come as standard
    with chrome?
