I've been banned. Do I have any recourse?

I got an email from adsense on thursday that my adsense was disabled. I've never, not even once clicked on my own ads and all of my traffic comes from search engines - no weird networks or anything. I didn't really make much money either but they still owe me a few hundred dollars that they say they won't give me. They also won't tell me what exactly I did wrong. Only their form emails. Does anyone have any advice for me? I don't have a YPN account.

It has come to our attention that invalid clicks and/or impressions
have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s). We have
therefore disabled your Google AdSense account. Please understand that
this was a necessary step to protect the interest of the AdWords
    advertisers.

A publisher's site may not have invalid clicks or impressions on any
ad(s), including but not limited to clicks and/or impressions generated
    by:

    - a publisher on his own web pages
    - a publisher encouraging others to click on his ads
    - automated clicking programs or any other deceptive software
    - a publisher altering any portion of the ad code or changing the
layout, behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads for any reason

These or any other such activities that violate Google AdSense Terms
and Conditions and program polices may have led us to disable your
account. The Terms and Conditions and program polices can be viewed at:

    https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms?hl=en_US
    https://www.google.com/adsense/policies?hl=en_US

Publishers disabled for invalid click activity are not allowed further
participation in AdSense and do not receive any further payment. The
earnings on your account will be properly returned to the affected
    advertisers.

If you feel that this decision was made in error, and can maintain in
good faith that the invalid activity was not due to the actions or
negligence of you or those you are responsible for, such as employees
and family members, you may appeal the closing of your account. To do
so, please contact us only through this form:

    http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/request.py?contact=invalid_clicks_appeal&hl=en_US

If Google decides to evaluate your appeal, we will do our best to
inform you quickly and will proceed with appropriate action as
necessary. If we have reached a decision on your appeal, subsequent or
duplicate appeals may not be considered.

    Sincerely,

    The Google AdSense Team

    and then

    Hello,

    Thank you for your appeal.

After receiving your response, we re-reviewed your account data thoroughly. We have reconfirmed that invalid clicks were generated on the ads on your site in violation of our Terms and Conditions and program policies.

    https://www.google.com/adsense/terms
    https://www.google.com/adsense/policies

We have these policies in place to help ensure the effectiveness of Google ads for our publishers as well as our advertisers. According to our policy on this matter, we are unable to reinstate you into the program.

As you may know, publishers disabled for invalid click activity are not allowed any further participation in AdSense. For this reason, you may not open a new account.

Please bear in mind that subsequent or duplicate appeals may not be considered and you may not receive any further communication from us. We appreciate your understanding.

    Sincerely,

    The Google AdSense Team

I'm pretty frustrated but I feel powerless.

Take a look at this line:

    - a publisher altering any portion of the ad code or changing the
layout, behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads for any reason

Did you change any part of the code in any way? Even the smallest alteration can get you banned.

Also, I would read the TOS thoroughly and see if anything in there could have happened on your site.

Unfortunatly Google reserves the right to ban an account when they see suspicious activity. I personally have not seen them ban someone for no reason.

Is that Chml Srucnoc blog yours? If so, maybe this had something to do with your banning?
I dont know for sure, and maybe others can comment, but i think discussing ads on your page might be considered 'drawing undue attention' to them..

That blog is mine. I don't know if that's the problem or not. I don't think I've gotten but one click in three months from that ad so it'd be pretty ridiculous. I'll try emailing google again and ask. That's for looking into that for me.

Great idea.. Get back on Google's good-side by violating MORE rules..

If you get banned, and believe it was not justified, submit an appeal, and read the many other forum posts regarding what else you can do.. MOST people that get banned do not get back in, so start looking for alternatives - Ypn, CJ, Adbrite (there's dozens)..

It think it is bad advice, and generally foolhardy to break more rules (as suggested by vnjporg) to try and get back in.. Google will catch you..eventually..

I have heard that google sometimes looks at IP addresses and clicks. IE that many clicks from the same IP address could trigger something on their end. Maybe this was your case and you didnt know it?

Same on my site. Several clicks from one refresh-script hosted in the Netherlands banned me from AdSense.

It's ridiculous that google can ban without giving the precise reason and withhold funds. They should at least give you a warning and tell you what to change (I've heard some people have had a warning) and the bad traffic ban is ridiculous, why don't they just reduce your CPC until the traffic is worth paying for?
