3 days a go I got an email saying my account was disabled for fraudulent clicks and if I wanted to appeal I could, so I did I send a pict of my stats all or most of my traffic was coming from the USA and I'm not in the USA. The site in question is one of my sites which I never do any update. Last december was making about 70 cents a day, and then in January started with about 5 bucks, this was due to an increase in PR and a susbstancial increase in organic traffic.
After my appeal, about 12 hours later another email from google, my appeal was rejected and my account closed:

"As you may know, publishers disabled for invalid click activity are not
allowed any further participation in AdSense. For this reason, you may not
    open a new account.

Please bear in mind that subsequent or duplicate appeals may not be
considered and you may not receive any further communication from us. We
    appreciate your understanding."

My account was from 2004 and only once I received a warning, this was in 2005 or begining 2006, I had bought some traffic.

What am I supposed to do? Can I opened an account in my wife name? do they check address, email? what?
    Please advice.

    Paul

    I had bought some traffic.

That is it you can not buy traffic!

Yes you can open in your wifes name or a company name but they can find out and you will get banned and i guess your domains as well

i think it's unfair for google to ban without accepting the reason/proof. in this case, once you have the picture or report stating that all clicks are not from your hometown, it should be reconsidered. how pity it is when google ban suddenly

They very rarely consider any reason or proof because they've heard all the excuses before. Even if you are genuine sadly you've got little chance of getting back in. The quicker YPN goes global the better.

I have a feeling that they also check the IP address that the account is from, I may be wrong though?

This is what you agree to when you sign-up for Adsense - it's their game and their ball.. if you dont play by their rules they will take their ball away from you and go home. Might not be "fair", but we all agreed to it when we signed up..

IP address not a problem because it is very easy to acquire a new IP. I hear that they check your address, telephone number, date of birth and - the absolute killer - your bank account details. If you've set up an EFT on an account that's been banned you're f*cked.

Kind of interesting from a legal point of view - once you're banned do they have the right to hold on to your personal data and use it for their own sleazy purposes? Probably not.

so you bought traffic? thats obviously why you were banned... im sure google has a extensive database of services that provide "traffic" , when they detected the traffic pattern on your site thats all the evidence they need to ban you.

This is interesting .... so unless traffic is coming from organic sources they can ban your account? What about link purchases? Couldn't this be thought of as buying traffic?

The do no evil folks ... I wonder how long until it becomes "unless traffic is derived from a visitor arriving at your site via a Google Search clicks will be considered invalid ...."

unless we see some serious competition in the market from the big players (ypn, msn)
google's "understanding" of valid clicks will keep getting "optimized" all in the effort of preventing fraud

I think he says the first warning he received was due to purchasing traffic in in late '05 early '06, not for what has happened now.

..i believe, what you can do is to get a whole new identity i.e. name, address, DOB etc. Which means, you need to get someone, who you can trust i.e. your parents or sibling and register with their identity.
    good luck...:D

I thought it was ok to buy traffic?

for example is funpageexchange.com ok to buy traffic for your arcade site?

I thought it depends upon the source of the traffic to if it is allowed or not.

Someone offered free visitors on a forum once, and I had no idea what it was but I posted my url anyways. I got a notice from Adsense after two days ;) Learned to never do that again! Stay away from "bad" traffic.

That's traffic from paid search, which while it is certainly bought traffic, is far more targeted than the junk traffic you get from the 50,000 visitors for $x kind of site. It's also traffic that has chosen to visit your site, not traffic generate from popups, popunders, etc.
