Well, so I just tried to log into my paypal account today, and it says Security Measures. here is the exact message... Below, it asks me to enter the VCC card number i used when verifying. The problem is, I don't remember the VCC info, since it was given to me via MSN, and i did not note it down. So, the question is, will i be able to get my VCC number from the person i bought it in the first place? (do they have a history of generated numbers?).. I've got about $200 in paypal, and am really concerned about this issue.
U need to contact ur VCC seller and i am sure he will send u complete info.U just need to give him last 4 digit of ur VCC (Which can b seen in paypal profile)
So you mean to say that they (VCC sellers) DO have logs of past generated VCCs? If yes, thanks a lot for the help getjimmy.. you're one hell of a person on the board
Oh no not paypal doing there usual stunt, I had a similar thing, when i evenually sorted it out i closed my account with them, I will never use paypal again. You need to contact them asap. and get it sorted out.
I don't see anything wrong with this. They are basically just protecting the account holder because the account holder is supposed to used credit cards and keep the record current. All you need to do is to open your wallet, take out your credit card and you be done with it. Pretty simple. People trying to hack into your account will not know your credit card numbers. Besides, I think they are probably just trying to weed out those who used VCC to verify their accounts since VCC defeats the purpose of verification anyways.
THanks a million for all the help guys.. All set now.. paypal access restored. Moderator can close this thread Once again, thanks to all of you
I just want to add here by saying that we should always give preference to credit cards for verififying your paypal account. Using VCC should be discouraged.
