one click is not going to ban your account ? but jumping earning 4-5 times a day may lure others to click on their own ads . hehehe .... cant believe your earnings is jumped because you clicked on your ad .

I think you shouldnt worry so much about clicking once on your ad. Your brother or sister might have done it when they were using your PC. Just relax. Nothing would happen

 

I think google are more worried about people who do it consistently, or many times, not one or two clicks by accident. It can happen by accident, Im sure they not going to squabble about a few pennies (unless this makes up a big part of your adsense revenue). Just avoid doing it in the future

Just think sorting out that 1 or 2 clicks probably cost them more in time and effort to sort it out than they would actually pay you (unless its the $22 clicks I’ve seen someone have on here). I would advise to just stay clear of your adds in future.

If it’s more than a couple of mistakes, then get in contact with them, as your adsense could be disabled!

 

If it is just one click, I would not worry about this. It's up to you, but whatever transpires, please post back.

 

I think it matters to G and I think it is fair of them to ban the account in this situation. The TOS are clear.

 

wow, it seems like a lot of people here got really mad because I was clicking ads on mys ite... I do that VERY sporadicaly...not enough to bump my earnings . One click ocasionally, because I am interested in visitng the sites advertised. I have never had any problems with my account because I am sure GOogle is intelligent and fair enough to understand that we, as publishers of the site, are also its regular visitors and I do not do that as a scheme!! I would be starving if my earnings were dependent on my clicks on google´s ads. erm.chill out!

Still doesn't matter, you cannot justify costing advertisers money by saying, "i only do it sometimes, not enough to bump up my earnings"

 

I don't think anyone here is mad, just surprised and shocked that someone would click their own ads.

why don't you just cpy the URL and move the googlepagadsblablabla

Thats not the right attitute either.... Remeber this money doesn't come out of Google's never ending bank account, it comes from people like you and me, the advertisers... and even though google says it returns funds to advertisers after publishers have been banned....

Certainly clicking your own ads cheats the advertisers. And it doesn't matter if you only do it sporadically, or once a week, or once a month. It's stealing and it's wrong. There is no number of clicks, regardless of how few, that would be OK, regardless if you get banned from AS or not.

 

why is it stealing if you are really visitng the sites? You are as much a visitor as someone else, I visit sites I care about and I REALLy want to visit them...ok, sure I could type the addresses balbalblaa and visit the site outside google ads but my point is, am I not as valid a visitor as someone else?
I thank for trying to avoid other people being banned and all, I really do, i juts dont get the over-reaction on me being curious about my advertisers...you make me sound like a top level cheater which I am not!!

 

no you are not as valid a visitor as someone else, since you are making money from visiting their site! If i got payed just 50p for every site i visited i would be very rich indeed!!!

 

Advertisers don't pay to have you visit the site they pay to have you visit and make a purchase.

So how many purchases have you made when visiting these sites whose ads you clicked?
