Hi guys iv lost so much money through paypal its unbelivable but this month i cant take anymore and i cant afford to pay it back, I writ them a statement as I really want to take them to court for this as it is there fault please give your advice

    -------------------------------

Hi I have been with paypal for a year or so now and have nothing but bad experience I have had in total about 8 transactions reversed for some reason or another after I have sent my product so have lost nearly £1000+ which is quite alot of money to me i have always paid this money back as a good citizen. But its just gone too far now this last week I have had a 2 transactions reveresed I sent my laptop out so thats gone and the other was a digital item. I just cant afford to pay it back anymore so I really dont care if you get your debt team to collect Robinson & Way as they are also very rude ringing 7 in the morning or at midnight.
I dont mind this because this debt is not REAL it is not my debt and I am not paying for paypals mistalkes anymore. I would like my account closed in 7 days of this complaint and all the negative balance restored by you otherwise I will be making a formal complaint for you to be featured on Watchdog and possible legal action as there must be something wrong with this

    Kind Regards

    ------------------------------------

    Any advice appreciated

    Thanks

yeah. they always protect the buyer although i know people who lost 1000s by selling their websites and getting a charge back from the buyer. so instead you can use moneybookers. as far as i know they don't have a charge back option.

Why are you blaming Paypal when they are not the one who wronged you ? The one you should take legal actions are your customers who did the charge reversals. If the card holder did a chargeback at the bank, Paypal is pretty much has no control over it. Sue the customers in question do not let them get away with it.

When you use Paypal as a platform to receive funds, it is your responsibility as the seller to do your due diligences on your customers by calling them and making sure that they are the ones who ordered and it is not done through a stolen credit card. It is not like Paypal stole your money and pocket it, they gain nothing out of this and the ones laughing are your so-called customers.

Are you sue he doesnt mean dispute claims where paypal actually claim it back off you as thats what i thought it was

and if it is the above i agree paypal dont gain nothing but if he had proof then there is no reason why hey should have taken it back from him

    xdynamite,

you have the postage details with recorded delivery and a revered paypal transaction goto the police as this is theft & fraud.

or goto the house yourself I would I cant stand scammers, if you cant afford it dont have it, dont steal from those that work hard to get there stuff.

I am very sad to hear this news. I am really sorry to hear it.
I have been wronged a couple of times, once I sold my website for $2200 and lost that money.
Can you contact police or sue those guys if the information was correct? Are you in the same country as buyer?

Yes I am in the same country paypal do not say its a chargeback they just say that we have put these funds on hold as we are doing an investigation nothingto do with chargeback they dont even give a reason then a few days later they say they have completed the investigation and reversed the funds.

Even if they returned the funds they charge fees to me for reversing it etc

The latest one digital product he didnt do chargeback just had email from paypal that they are investigating then today they reversed funds it says

    Seller Protection Policy:
    Eligible

and he had a confirmed address so what is going on with paypal they are terrible

I had to threaten Paypal with a lawsuit to get my money back. They had about $900 USD that they were holding. I used Prepaid Legal, I can get you set up with them if you are in the US or Canada for $16/month. Let me know.

For UK customers it´s definitv easier to take any legal action against PayPal because from what I know you can take them to court in Ireland/UK! I once lost REALLY MUCH money because of PayPal without any fault from my side (I know there will be some members now telling I will have done anything against PayPals TOS but that´s not correct). I would have taken them to court because the money would have been worth it but the problem is I am in Germany and had a German PayPal account but wouldn´t have been able to take them to German court because it´s regulated by british law and I didn´t know any lawyer who knows british financial law. But I think for you it will be definitely easier to find a lawyer at your place who can help you with this. If I where you I would definitely ask a lawyer what is possible in your case because there must be anything possible to do against them. They are ripping people everywhere and I think/hope not everything they do is "legal" and you could back what is yours. Please keep us or especially me updated how you will go on or maybe you wanna contact me and we can talk about our experiences with PayPal and chargebacks without reasons (and of course money lost because of them). Would be nice

Doesn´t matter how you decide I wish you good luck to get YOUR money back

Hi thaks for that but when they last did it to me i paid it back but before I paid it back I had a debt collection agency on my back called Robinson & Way they used to ring all the time I payed paypal back even though it wasnt my debt and they still ringing me and saying you owe xxx amount i said iv already paid paypal they had the cheeck to say you have to pay us not paypal so we need the funds again I was like bugger off.

Anyway to the point I might wait for Robinson and way to take me to court this way i can show my proof of recorded delivery etc

P.S I still havent heard anything back from paypal with that email i sent them in my first post.

And People that say paypal is good and right they only say that because they havent been stung yet. Once they get abit of paysting they will also see the truth

Your situation looks like mine 1.5 years ago. I sold mobile phones on Ebay (sold in bulk all in all 20 phones for xK$). I got them from my supplier when I sold them so I had no stock or anything. I paid them upfront and wanted to sell with a profit what would not have been a problem if there had not been PP. I sent them to 2 customers/scammers, of course incl. tracking etc. so I thought I would be on the secure side and there exists something like a seller protection: but nothing!!! both of them chargedback and told they had not arrived anything even although the packages have been signed. But there was something wrong and the adress to track online didn´t match 100% with the adress in the PP account: the housenumber was missing, the other 99% were absolutely the same. But PP said they can´t say exactly this scammer recieved the package: I got mad when I heard this: how can a human being be stupid like that? The adress in the Ebay account and PP were the same and the other one matched as written above in 99% so every logic thinking person wouldn´t let go through a chargeback in this case but they did in even 2 cases. I cashed out the money before so my account became negative then and PP wanted me to pay in those xK$ to get a positive balance again. Of course I didn´t do this and tried to call them more then 10 times (another 100$ only for calling them because none of their support knows what they are doing: they only say "we can´t and mustn´t help you here, sorry"). And then the mail came from the lawyer. I thought at first to take them to court in UK but in the end I didn´t do and agreed with the lawyer, I will pay monthly 200$ to pay back those xK$. Damn, this was such a bad experience I will never do again. For bigger sales I will never again use PP, only bank wire. For purchases I don´t have anything against PP and I would even say I like it, but never ever again.

So for your case I wish all of luck to get back what is yours and don´t let those MEGASCAMMERS come away with this

According to me paypal has the most worst case of charge back even if you have the roofs of selling your products paypal will charge back you.And let me tell you that i have lost more then 1500$ in the case of charge back in just a single month.I decided to leave paypal, but let me clear you without paypal you can't bussiness here as mney bookers and egold etc etc are not very much famous here , all use paypal as the payment source.
So wish you best of luck and my efforts are with you.
