Can you just imagine if the USA had used the 190 + billion dollars on ways to destroy weapons of mass destruction.? Or took 190 billion and put it into research for alternatives to oil dependence ? Can you imagine if we used that 190 billion to educate the ignorant - because ignorance breeds this hatred. It is a know fact that hate breeds hate.. its proven everyday in our live with racism and reverse racism. It is my opinion ... no mater how many troops we send or no matter how many missles and Jets... We will be creating more hate .. more children who lose their parents on both sides and more parents that lose their children due to this mentality. PLEASE DONT tell me the only answer is always invading .. there are ways for the USA to topple governments and regimes! Look At The Former Soviet Union ...30 years of the cold war , they had 1000 times the nuclear attack capability of Iran .. We never invaded ... Soviet Union doesnt exist any longer! Look at lessons we have learned in the past - Vietnam was a huge mistake - Iraq is even bigger ... it can never be won on these terms! We tried that many times , send more troops, send more armor, send more bombs, send more money .... it didnt help .... why ? Because our enemy hated us for what we did to it land and people - and they were damned determined that we wouldnt win!
I agree that Iraq is a big mistake but Iran promises to wipe out Israel. We cannot have Israel involved in an Iran war because there will be no winners. The problem could be that we have the wrong leaders for the job. I myself do not know how to resolve this mess but there are better qualified people that do know how to deal with countries like Iran. I have been there many years ago and the people were very nice. Once Iran has nukes, they will use it…in the name of God.
ya we have the wrong leader for the job, boy, just think if John Kerry was in power he would have.... well.. he would have.... umm..... .. bombed them ya!!! he would have ripped their throats out... well... no... he would have had peaceful negotiations... well.... he would have ... you know... ummm... found a monica??
No idea what point you are trying to make. But whatever it is, it makes no logical sense. The USSR? You use that as your example for us as to why we should not spend billions on weapons. Are you serious, it was our billions spent on weapons that was a major catalyst to the falling of the Soviet Union. You can't claim the effect and discount how it was achieved.
Can you imagine what the US would be like (or if it would even exist) if it had not paid the price of Freedom? Money well spent. The other areas could use some work as well.
Fool! You don't know what we are doing do you? This is not about Iraq. This is about the New World Order, and indebting third world countries to our strength. Afghanistan was demolished. Then Iraq, then Iran's up for next? The best place to invest is the last place anyone would look, I'd know I've heavily invested in Iraq. The World Bank has basically bought up the war torn countries. Funny how Donald's right hand, the Deputy of Defense, Paul Wolfowitz, is ALSO the Chairman of the World Bank! The guy who wages the wars, gets to choose the APR for these lucky new devastated countries!
It is worth remembering that policies created after WW2 led to the situation we have in the Middle East today, and Africa too. Also worth noting that pre-emptive war is always a difficult thing to justify, because there will always be civilian casualties, and that means you are "pre-emptively" killing civilians.
What policies and who is "we?" I disagree. Inaction, as the best course of action, is not acceptable. Preventing the mushroom cloud is far more favorable than reactiving to it, when it's too late.
Try after World War One...the biggie of 1914-1918 That one screwed up the middle east for all time. And remember, the biggest lovers and backers of good old Adolph were arabs and muslims (both hated and wanted jews destroyed for one thing). Got to find out, but I believe that the arabs actually raised a division of men for Adolph to use on the eastern front. Whether they made it there or not, I can not remember.
