It's school holidays and the babysitter's died!

Not really, unless I've truly allowed a PC called "the beast" to be my kid's babysitter.

So, I came home the other night and found this:



and he was taking a series of photos to turn into an animated gif. All good, I guess, but he doesn't know how to actually make one. I promised to show him later.

Next thing you know, he's downloaded something dodgy (just adware, hopefully), panicked and deleted it but now - long story short - his pc won't connect to the internet via ethernet or wifi.

I've run a few diagnostics but nothing has shown up. I guess tomorrow I'm going to have to take it into my tech guy but that feels like giving up. Any ideas what he might have done?
