I have found out rather quickly that the ones who say it works gets excited over a few hundred hits. And the ones who say that it doesn't work didn't do it right.

Of course this isn't always the case.

The only way to know for sure is to try it for yourself. Personally I wouldn't do it until I had money to burn.

Put together a game plan, the release, and then post it here for critique.

Hello. Thanks for reply. But I don't really understand. Do I have to first put the article here in forum and then go to post it on prweb.com?Thanks

I think it's worth it. I use prweb for work (admittedly, the $80 per pr is not out of my pocket), but it's a good way to brand for particular keywords.

If written properly it can have tremendous results. But it takes a very skilled writer. Whenever I launch a major ecommerce website I do a basic press release. On some client sites we have done the full $1400 press release or whatever it costs to appear at the top and it has had some great results, but we've also had really bad results.

If you're just getting started though, I don't recommend it. It's pretty expensive and has no guarantee of doing anything for you.
