Wow so much visitors here in this thread. Yeah its really sad for me as well i lost all the results or panalizing by big G but this is not the end :D. Quality will be the foremost thing your directory must have and if it does then no one can stop not even big G. :D

and trying and focusing on other search engines would be good as dont have any other option. Still getting paid submissions :D

    1. Because BOTW are genuinely charging for a review not a link - like yahoo, their fees are not refundable if a site is rejected. And they do actually reject sites and keep the fee, as we've heard here before. This alone helps ensure the quality of sites listed there because only quality sites get submitted under those terms

    2. take a look at the backlinks for botw, then look at those of the penalised directories. Of the penalised directories I looked at, they all have very obvious high PR bought links - if botw have been buying links they have been more subtle about it

Exactly, its not hard to look the penalized bl's and see loads of high pr footer links alongside loads of other directories, it doesn't get much more obvious about your reasons for buying the link then that. Nobody buys footer links for traffic..
BOTW has a FAR more natural link pattern than the likes of alive and the others mentioned.

I think it was creed that made a thread about that... non refundable review fees (not sure)

Well im positive that PR links was the culpret but im wondering if the second part of that penalization is sitewides to a degree?
If i recall when matt talked about PR links he made a small request that sitewides be added with no follow attributes

Could thier be a 2-3 part penality we dont know about? perhaps a ranking penalty we cant readily see

    thx

Well, I'm not directing this at any one specific directory but I feel bad for the ones who have put a lot hard work into their directories and get a big kick in the ass . . . you all know who you are . . . :D

But every directory in the industry cant be like BOTW rgith ? wht google is doing with the industry is bad and you cant even predict the loss sustained by the directory owners through the SERPS. Building content in the directory is quite challenging for as well as for the few of other newbies because content and traffic will be observed while calculating webrank ? not sure. Lets see wht happened :D Hope for the best.

Wht do you think about SEOmoz.com ? why not this tool to use to know the worth of the site ? why only PR.

Denial Ain't a River in Egypt.

Denial is the PRIMARY psychological symptom of addiction. It is an automatic and unconscious component of addictions. Addicts are often the last to recognize their disease, pursuing their addictions into the gates of insanity, the collapse of health and ultimately death. Sadly, many addicts continue to act out on their addictions while their world collapses around them - blaming everything but the addiction for their problems. ;)

    Jeolousy

Jealousy typically refers to the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that occur when a person believes a valued relationship is being threatened by a rival. This rival may have no knowledge that he or she is threatening the relationship. . Jealousy is a familiar experience in human relationships. It has been reported in every culture and in many forms where researchers have looked. It has been observed in infants as young as 5-6 months old and in adults over 65 years old.

    have a nice day

    thx
