It's official Google has opened up a can of whoop ass on directories

There is nothing wrong with saying what you *think* it is, as long as you preface it by "I think. . . " or "I believe..." or "my guess is..." or "IMHO".

What bothers me is that the old "rules of posting" seem to have disappeared. Many people these days make all kinds of statements that are just opinion, but are stated as though they are fact. Then 6 posters jump in with "I agree" and before you know it, a new rumor is started.

Same problems happened to me; indexed page and back links disappeared, keywords gone.

There are some things I should say,
1. Google has not trusted all those directories, they may think some sites in directories are not quality enough.
2. Many directory hosted in same hosting companies, they may be on same c-class ips. That may be a problem to be indexed by google.
3. Too many directories born in last 2 years, all goes directories industry and most would be dead. Google may let us know directory is not for all webmasters.

 

I didn't say there was, I merely pointed out that I wouldn't state what I think is happening and I have my own reasons for not doing so.

And think it's time to finish this thread as it makes much more bad than any good for entire business.
No one can know what's going on and will it last long/short or forever.

Whilst I agree that this industry is a disgrace we are not all on the same team. There are a lot of directory masters who want to see it change or should I say directory masters who see why it should change. Then there are those who dont.

 

But your PART of the community so if the 'ENTIRE' community is a disgrace then you should accept the bit you play in its demise.

Here we go again, yet another person trying to run away from the fact that this activity of losing SERPS for your own domain name is a pretty darn serious issue. If it starts there' goodness knows where it will end, a total sandbox for these guys? Yeah sure, lots of it is guesswork, unless your part of Google's R&D team then you'll never know the FACTS but one FACT we do know is that Google is giving us a warning.

People need to stop dancing around this fact and trying to devalue the seriousness of it.

 

Am I missing something here ? Are we really on the same team ? IMHO I don't think so and I never believe that. Some wear the same jerseys most don't, some are still gang members and leaders while some are bystanders, most are loyal suckers and kissers while some speak truthfully, some just work by themselves quietly with some honestly striving hard, some speak for themselves while some needs the whole neighborhood, some are group spammers and some are individuals and the rest is history. Is that a team ? Groupings Yes.

Really its a disgrace and its a dog eat dog world and you have to be on a popular side in order to succeed. No one stands up to say what they really feel and most are quick to jump and beat the hell out of an individual. Yeah because many of us will lose the popularity support which most of us are very dearly afraid of doing even when the culprit is wrong. Yeah, most of us just even turn our heads around when some get the beatings by the bullies and gangs not even have given a chance to explain themselves and most are afraid to speak out because they might lose the popular submissions. Is that right ? Is that a team really ?

Others say we are all pros here and I nearly puke at that. Others say that some had turn their backs which is not true. Some even had started to wear a mask of a lamb because of the recent events.

Yeah and I still believe some didn't deserve what happened to them and I hope they find a way out of it.

I don't think so you already said that business as usual so why stop people from being open and say what is really in their mind. I think I have wake up to reality in 2007 as I have consulted some popular members of me being kicked by the bullies and they have done NOTHING instead they were 2 faced SOB's who will give you a shit advice and in reality were just waiting to get one out of the way and say ok 1 one out who's next so they could corner the market. From now on I speak the truth and speak by myself. Which by the way I will be honest without kissing someones behind just to get me business even if my directory rot in there for years I don't give a **** anymore. I will do whatever is right.

Maybe you can voice it out openly too honestly without prejudice and without thinking of sales marketing. Just be HONEST and that you don't really support the directory bullies and gangs regardless if they are good clients or whatever. If its wrong its wrong, am I right ?
