It's Offical - Google is Laggy!

The last two websites I helped launch took forever to get indexed in Google, even with high quality backlinks. Yahoo beat Google in indexing these sites for both cases.

Has Google caffeine dramatically slowed down indexing of new websites and pages added to older sites? Seems like GBot has turned into GRot! It's sad when Yahoo can outperform Google in indexing new sites and pages!

Not blogs, but sitemaps submitted in verified webmaster tools accounts.

Like I said, Yahoo is indexing faster then Google. Seems like Google is spending too much time on twitter or something. Sucks if you ask me..

Yeah, noticed that as well, My new post gets indexed real fast and gets cached as well, and then later on they get de-indexed and after 1-2 days they get indexed again.:confused: And on the other side indexing is been pretty slow as well, since caffeine is implemented.

the last site i launched showed up just 5 hours later on page 1 position 5 in Google.
It then disappeared for a few days and on day 9 it re appeared at position 4 page 1 now its position 2 page 1

Yahoo took several days but It did appear on page 1 position 1 so quite happy with that.

Wow that is impressive. Were you targeting long tail phrases? What kind of backlinking did you do to achieve such results?

Maybe googlebot is on strike, wants a raise, or is tired and needs some more power(upgrades). Really I don't have a clue seems normal to me, but I don't check as often as some.

Apart from making a post in two social sites (not twiter, facebook or myspace, I dont even belong to them) I did nothing to get the initial listing except create the site.

    I was targeting a 3 word keyword.
The front page was put on Digg by one of my clients and some of my clients use the splash page referal link I provide on TE's

Apart from that I wrote the page to make sense to potential clients and put the keywords used on the page in the meta tags.
    Nothing more nothing less.

Google works just fine for me. I think you should start using other methods than the one's you're using at the moment. Remember that Google changes the formula everyday!
