It's official, around the world more people now use browsers other than Internet Explorer. Also, a couple days ago, someone took a graph of market share among browsers over the years and extrapolated the trend lines to where it shows Chrome overtaking IE by the summer of next year. Hallelujah!
They only still have a big share in the market because it's bundled in by default more or less and less savvy/novice users just stick with what they got/first install. Never liked IE and never will, don't care how much they try to tell us the browser is not tied to the OS as we all know otherwise!
I was so mad when Microsoft bundled IE with Windows. What a scam. Netscape Navigator was so much better. Microsoft used their EEE strategy to kill off the competition. ht_tp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embrace,_extend_and_extinguish#Examples
Its bad but most of the websites are made compatible to IE. Yes, its really bad, sometime when I use it, it hangs so badly that I need to restart my computer.
It's about stinking time. If there was ever a case against a corporation for monopoly practices, here is the poster child.
Oh no.. that means using another browser isn't trendy and cool anymore, guess it's back to IE Though in all seriousness, IE was pretty bad but it started to redeem itself a bit. I can't blame them for including IE in their OS's.. it wasn't like they'll lock you to it and not let you install any other.
Ya I think I have seen this coming for a long time, IE is very unreliable, slow, and insecure. I have been in love with Google Chrome ever since it came out, and they keep making it better and better!
You are totally right ! goolge Chrome has surely passed IE for the best browser in town. Here's an idea: Browser Stats
Internet explorer is a useless browser that not only slows down your PC but makes it possible for virus to act on them.
1 of the reasons that I use Multiple browsers is That it makes it harder 4 Companies to track my activities. Also for things like banking, It is good to use a clean browser That is only used for banking , and then another browser for other activities. Personally, I use firefox , chrome and safari. I have internet explorer installed But I rarely use it accept when I need to research a bug related to design.
