It's official! It snows in winter!

People are desperate and when they see a book that says "easy money millions within minutes" and then realize they have to invest a lot of cash to make it profitable -- and they might just lose all that money -- you are bound to have high refund rates.

This is why I never use the MAKE MILLIONSSS!!!!11 pitch, check my sig for a product that sell.s

    0 refunds.

The only reason why I wanted to promote forex products is because of massive commissions.

Apart from that, forex = tons of refunds and huge competition

As someone currently making a living by trading forex (though I'm doing only 2 days per week of intraday trading at the moment) I have to say yes, that's very much my assessment of what I've seen of them.

I think you have to bear in mind that the "average person" buying this stuff is someone who's been losing quite a bit of money through indisciplined forex trading, and they're firmly and clearly in the "desperate buyers" category. But this apparently doesn't stop all of them from asking for refunds when they realise they've been scammed.

That said, I suspect that which ones ask for refunds actually has a lot to do with the pre-sell of these "products", in other words, affiliates can probably avoid quite a percentage of them if they put their minds to it. It's easy to assume that the overall proportion that get refunded is down to the publisher and absolutely nothing to do with the affiliate at all, but in this instance I actually doubt very much whether that's strictly true, though I'd think many affiliates don't quite realise that.

I must admit, they're not products I'd want to sell, myself.

There are basically 2 type of forex products, the so called robots and the ebooks.

    - the ebooks normally have nothing special, thus the refund.

    - the "robots" are just "scripts/addons" that are added to the forex platform that is free. There are some that work but its important to note that there are loads of such scripts freely available - in a nutshell the publishers just wrap these free scripts and sell them.

So its obvious why thers such a high refund rate, probably the few people that dont refund do not do so just because of laziness...

You're right, you gotta sell the Forex product to the right person. You can't sell it to a person looking to make money from home, interested in stocks, interested in day trading, you need to sell this to a laser targeted group who are looking for just that "forex automated systems" and "forex robots"

As far as PPC, I am spending about $10-$15 per sale in PPC and doing about 2-3 per day. I really haven't optimized it yet either. Soon going to begin doing some more site targeting. AVG. Cost per click is about 20-30 cents.

I tried myself, and you're right I don't use the robots personally. I have my own system using technical analysis and my own setups that I go by. You need to understand this market before you can profit. It took me almost 4 years, 2 of that paper trading to really do any damage.

Same here (though I stole most of my system from Joe Ross and just had to adapt it to trading Euro/$ and £/$). It takes time and understanding. I think a high proportion of the people who get into trouble (just as is true with horse-race betting) are people who without any real understanding who are looking for a shortcut. They can be shown a profitable system and still manage to lose steadily with it because they have no discipline and they trade too often! Still, I suppose I mustn't complain about them, because in the long run it's all their losses that are actually supporting me. ;)

But where are the monkeys? Sadly disappointed by your misleading domain name, was expecting to see monkeys dressed up like people of high society.

Same here. Had a couple of Forex Brotherhood sales which lasted for a month or so. Both of them refunded. The last time I had 100% refunds for any IM product was Google Nemesis. LOL

i think it does totally depend on how the product is sold ... if you make big promises then definitely a lot of people will be disappointed ...

but also, a lot of people buy these products knowing that they can try them out for 60 days ... i.e. the people who are genuinely interested in forex trading have probably tried a few robots and are trying to see if this performs better than their current one ... and if it doesn't, of course they'll refund ... and some of this can be due to how the market performs during that time

there is no doubt though that some products are better designed than others

    I don't know guys...

I think it all depends on the Forex Product. I've had a bunch of refunds with some, and hardly any refunds with others. I won't say any names, but the one that has the highest gravity right now on CB seems to have a pretty low refund rate thus far on my end. Although it may be a little too early to tell.. ?
