From what I can gather, Google is doing this to sites where there isn't enough traffic, because advertisers are complaining. If you only made $200 in two years, that may be why. Also, I've heard that they are banning accounts that get lots of clicks, but no conversions, due to advertiser complaints. If an advertiser complains that your site has had XX number of clicks and no conversions, they figure it's click fraud and they don't pay you. If they complain more than once, you're banned.

I write and tell Google every time I'm doing heavy promotion for my website, because once I did, and got a lot of clicks, and they wouldn't pay me for them. If you're running something new that will probably get a lot of visits, more than usual, then you need to let them know.

Also, a site I visited banned me because they lost their adsense. Adsense supposedly told them that I had clicked ads on their site 140 times in one day! I didn't even visit the site that day! I tried to write to Adsense and get them to investigate, but I just got the usual stock reply after a month or so. I still think she was lying, because I had just started my website, and she probably looked at me as competition. Also, she knew who was clicking the ads, because the person said so in the forum.

They're getting really bad. I see adsense collapsing in another year or two. Advertisers are moving out, blaming ad blockers for low conversion. When was the last time you actually clicked an ad on anyone's site? My point is, the public is becoming blind to advertising, especially innocuous ads like Adsense. If you're not looking at them on other sites, how can you expect people to click on yours?
