I want to step up in ecomerce business but i found on some threads someone telling dropshiping not worth it at all . But me i am confuse its dropshiping the same with ecommerce business ?thanks
eCommerce is a catch-all for selling online. Your e-commerce business may support a bricks and mortar business You may buy goods and warehouse them so that you can sell online You may sell goods with deferred shipping and then buy and ship You may sell digital items that you've bought or produced yourself and then you might dropship - it's the worst example of eCommerce
E commerce could be the art of selling goods and services online. Could be tangible or intangible goods; dropshiping on the other hand could be regarded as a part of ecommerce not necessarily the whole lot. However both phrases could be a little confounding. However one can easily say that dropshipping is part of ecommerce and ecommerce is s dropshipping! ha!
ecommerce is selling online. You can either have the products in stock and ship when your Clint orders or if you have an account setup with the vendor of the product when your Clint orders then you go and place an order with the vendor and they ship to your client for you.
For me i think it's the same because when we create a store we need to do drop shipping for customers. that's what am thinking
Ecommerce, also known as electronic commerce or internet commerce, refers to the buying and selling of goods or services using the internet, and the transfer of money and data to execute these transactions. It could be selling your handmade products, outsourced products, or your services online. Dropshipping is a retail fulfillment method wherein a store doesn't actually stock the products it sells. This is how it works: You put products to your store by importing them from a supplier store like AliExpress, DropshipperUS, or Dhgate. You can use an importing app like Importify. Then when a customer orders from your store, you fulfill the order and purchase the item directly from the supplier store, like AliExpress or you can also use the app Importify to fulfill the order. Then, the supplier ships the item directly to the customer who purchased. Not holding inventory means not spending money on products that might not sell. You only buy from a supplier what you’ve already sold for profit! Checkout Importify app, they work with over 40 sources, some of which are Chinabrands, Aliexpress, Etsy, and Wonify. You can use their Resource page on Importify's website to answer your other questions. They have free ebook, and videos that covers how to successfully launch a dropship store.
eCommerce is selling items via the internet. Dropshipping is ONE of MANY ways to get the product to the customer. Some of the ways to get products to the customer: 1) YOUR customer picks up the product from YOUR location from YOUR stock on hand. 2) YOU ship the product to YOUR customer from YOUR location from stock YOU have on hand. 3) You hire SOMEONE ELSE to ship the product from THEIR stock on hand to YOUR customer (Dropshipping). Dropshipping gives you the LEAST control over quality, shipping, etc. UNLESS you are VERY careful dropshipping can cause you extreme problems even to the extent of putting you OUT OF BUSINESS. Therefore, dropshipping is not a viable option in MOST CASES. #1 is usually the best option, but is SELDOM a good option for eCommerce.
Most companies that label themselves as dropshippers don't offer true wholesale pricing. They're nothing more than retailers offering to ship their products to your customers with your name as the shipper. The best dropshippers are the ones you find yourself. Find a company that sells unique products and ask them if they can dropship some of their products to your customers at a discounted price.
