But on the subject of race I have a pet peeve. Hollywood is obsessed with only one minority race: Black folk...period. Hispanics, primarily Mexicans are the largest minority racial/ethnic group in the U.S. yet riduculously underrepresented in TV programming/movies etc compared to blacks. It makes no sense if its a numbers/quota game for equal representation. Where are the token Mexicans on every single program? There are plenty of great black entertainers but I think Hollyweird is obsessed with them. Of course the typical lib response is: what do you mean by them? Whats the matter you don't like blacks? You racist? Does anyone else notice this? Whats your take? My take: I think mainly its a PR game/reperations deal by Hollywood leftists to change opinion. Libs assume everyone hates blacks and therefore the racist population must be reprogrammed with millions of positive images of blacks doing lotsa great stuff. Yea? nay? But don't we need reprogramming on Mexicans too? nay? If so is it ok to program millions of negative white male images in order to speed up the process of equality? I notice most all super evil folks in Hollywoood are white males. And every single evil child is white preferably blond. Hollywood serial killers?> always white men. I think Kalvin was saying that the movie was making it a race issue. Jesus dying had nothing to do with a "race" but the human race. Sounds like the movie will be stupid if they try to change the reason behind Him dying.

The point I was trying to make is, these are things Christians "will not be doing." In other words, they will not be holding up signs that say "behead those who insult islam," along with the other things mentioned. Drawing upon a parallel of what we've witnessed over the past year in islam. Not that Christians are actually insulted, but rather that they will not be doing these types of things because someone creates a movie with a different perspective. In other words, it is popular to do such with Christianity (divinci code comes to mind), because there are relatively no consequences for doing such. Try doing the same with islam, and the things I suggest "will not happen" with Christians, become the norm for muslims. Perhaps, despite numerous clarifications, I have left myself open for some unperceived form of scrutiny, but that was not my intent.
You are right there, except proven part. His lineage would make him more arab in appearance than white or black. This is what I am refering to, that would be the part that doesn't line up with the Bible. If you make Jesus black, most of the people around him should be black (except the Romans) I would have no issue with that unless they make it a "jesse jackson" type of film.
Are you really going to make me explain that?? Rob, the inference was to making everything a race issue like jesse jackson does. Not that he makes movies. Jesse jackson is as bad, if not worse, than a kkk leader. He stirs up controversy and makes everything a race issue. He has followers who are in fear and also think everything is race motivated. He keeps them under a glass ceiling that no one wants to break. AND he makes millions doing it. If you want to see less racism in the US, get rid of guys like jackson.
