I build blogs for fun as I plan on one day building a bigger site or buying one but right now they are not commercial, I figure this is a good way to learn. Well to be frank most of the traffic on my sites suck but the niches are tough, they just seem to go up very slowly over time and I guess I'm not good at SEO. One of my sites in a tough health area got a good link on a site that gets 8,000+ hits per day. The link was left by someone other than me that liked a page on my site. I went from my paltry 50-60 hits per day to 120-150. I know it may not seem like a big deal to alot of you but kinda cool to see. This is the first time I ever got a link that delivered traffic as most i get deliver 1-2 a day. I guess I can see now why link building is so important, 5-7 more links like this and I could have a site earning 40-50 a day possibly. The downside is the site is a pr5 but page has no pr and no anchor text was used, i guess no real value for link juice right now. It is do follow though.
