Godmode is probably correct but I wouldn't push it.

You can always check with Adsense support what they think about it.

I do not see any problem with that but if you are worried about doing it on your site, just ask Google. I have seen it placed like that before on gallery sites and I have not seen any of the site banned.

Nothing wrong with that, people who worry just worry too much. Why would google ban you please use common sense, Try answering your own questions before posting them.

No problem with that, it is enough distinguishable from the other parts of the content.

Its definitely against Adsense TOS IMO. The Ads are very near to that picture and there is no separator between them.

STOP misleading people, if you are not sure. Whats wrong with that ad?

The images are a part of the content and have no relevance to the AD. Read the google adsense TOS again before giving someone a reply.

God sake, OP keep it out. You are fine!

If its not your site, Google will not tell you if it is against TOS or not.

I would take more care about instructing people on where to do not place their ad - if you are not sure, don't tell that it is against TOS.

in my opinion it is not against TOS.

It very likely is NOT against Policy or TOS. I have images that are closer to the ads on my site than that and I have asked for and received from Google clarification as to whether or not I am okay. There was no problem with my set up since it was clear (as it is in this case) that the images exist for purposes other than drawing attention to the ads. It is also clear what that purpose is.

    Hello,
It is ok, this is not against Adsense Tos. The image is really no related with the images.

    My 2 cents,
    Jakomo

It shouldn't matter if it's related or not, they don't allow images beside ads anymore. However I can't find their press release, to say, about this and i can't find it in their TOS. Does anyone know the exact wording of the Image beside ads thing?

Like most Policy updates, the wording is too vague to really use as a litmus test. That is why I mocked up a dummy page and sent it to google for review. It had a layout such that a lot of people here would be screaming that it was against TOS but I immediately got a reply back saying I was good to go. Lesson: Read what you can here, but if it's a matter of a Policy or TOS violation, check with Google directly. A lot of us know what we are talking about, but we are NOT the ones who will ban your account so what we say doesn't always mean a lot :)

BTW, here's the link to the update: http://adsense.blogspot.com/2006/12/ad-and-image-placement-policy.html
