It's a long time coming...

It's a long time coming and finally broke the 100 shipped item today with 17 still on order (117 total) within a month.

Though mostly CD's and DVD's, highhest was a Samsung LNS2651D 26" LCD HDTV which netted me $31.59.

With 3 days to go in April, I'm keeping my finger crossed for the 7% referral rate.

    Wish me luck folks.

    dinodino,

care to give some tips ?

I am at wit's end with my stores. I must have 10 or so amazon stores, a bunch AoM stores with the best PR3, and countless astores and astores on blogs.

I even had adwords campaigns running...eg. one campaign for a battlestar galactica dvd/toy etc store which received LOTS of impressions in the adwords content network.

I added my main sites in many search engines, even paid people here on DP for a few of my sites to list them in engines

I do the usual promoting of my sites in forums, thorugh sigs etc.

My best site (the one which is bouncing in the SERPS all the time) hit 100 visitors/day....but now again dropping A LOT since it bounced back in the SERPS.

My sales are ridiculous. I made more now with adsense what i sold IN TOTAL on all my sites combined with aom !

Eg..just one example: I have two stores with PC peripherals (graphics cards), one in Germany..one in the states. I havent sold ONE (!!!) single item on either of those two sites. I think the pages are good, so are the prices.

I put a lot of effort in SEO. I am constanlty optimzing my sites with tools like web ceo, or check them online for KW density etc..etc..

I havent sold ONE single DVD/book on my other sites...etc...

I have another site selling a BIG VERY KNOW series of books. Adwords showing for tis particular item ok. No SINGLE item sold so far despites many clicks.

I REALLY need ideas what other people do to boost their sales and to get traffic since i am really at wits end

Is it backlinks ? Even more promotion ? More content ? (Like RSS feeds etc. which i already do PLENTY on one of my sites)

Edit: I think main problem is still TRAFFIC. No traffic - no sales.

    Hi GeorgR,

There's a lot of things there that you do that I didn't even bother doing at all. Compared to others that are selling Amazon products by the hundreds, mine is about just as chicken feed an anything.

What do I have now? I am down to 10 ASM2 Stores as compared to 100 before the BigG dup-content penalty. Same as the others my sites went down the tube as well and I am taking these sites down as their domain expire. I haven't done anything much to the last 10, except as some say, to let them mature hoping that they will come back into the SERPs someday.

From the dup-content penalty view, I believe now that AOM stores suffers the same fate as ASM2 stores, but once in a while somebody might look up an obscure product and will chance upon your site. I have taken 90% of my sites off the internet, probably others have taken down as many as well, so that leaves only a few (still in the thousands though) AWS scripts sites on the internet now.

I also have 10 aStores but I don't see any sales from these either.

Probably what you do not have are my spam blogs - where I just picked Amazon products at random and posted them there, that's where the TV sale came from actually.

Again as I said it, it's a long time coming - use to be good days before the dup-content penalty, not many more in the future.

Good luck to you dinodino. Hope you get that 7% referral rate. GeorgR, have you tried selling by following market trends? For example, selling flowers on mothers day? or promoting new products that has just release?

P.S. I've written a review on a report, how to follow market trends on my blog.
