Say (as a buyer) you did a transaction and you didn't get exactly what you expected and the seller refunded you. In this case would it still be appropriate to leave positive feedback? If it is a rating on the complete transaction and you were pleased with the eventual outcome then I would think it would be ok to leave positive feedback for this type of deal. What does everyone else think?
IMO, I think it would be fine. From memory, I think the rules say you "participated in a transaction". Customer service to the extent of a refund is one of the highest levels of good service. I would not set the seller up for the scammers by mentioning the refund in my public post. It is okay to do it in the private part.
iTrader isn't compulsory - I only leave when I'm completely satisfied with the completed deal. In the example you give above I wouldn't award any iTrader - the seller hasn't performed badly because they've attempted to make good the problem, but the outcome isn't the way you intended as a buyer so it's disingeneous to pretend all went well.
Quite right but I'd say there is nothing wrong in giving itrader for such a deal because he (Seller) did well and refunded you instead of running away with your money or making excuses. But that's just me
I would rather leave a feedback saying " Honest Guy "and give a brief of the situation if i can in the below section where the DP mods/admin and only you and the buyer/seller of the deal can see. Let the Mods decide if the ITrader was suppose to be there for such deals or not.
No, I think you'd be wrong to do so. As CReed rightly says anyone who asks for a refund obviously isn't satisfied with the transaction. People are in the habit of awarding iTrader too easily around here - as if the transaction can't take place without it. The iTrader system is suffering because of it. iTrader shouldn't be awarded as a sympathy vote because the seller, although failing to deliver the service to the buyer's satisfaction, managed to correct the issue by issuing a refund. If the service isn't delivered as described a refund is obligatory anyway as far as I'm concerned.
If you need to give him one, give a neutral Itrader. "The service wasn't good enough for a positive one, but the fact that he refunded you ensured that you didn't lose your money"
In this case the refund would have been offered (not asked for) because the advertising did not produce good results. But no results were guaranteed.
I Guess the post below clears this Refund was offered, not asked for so i guess leaving a positive would be great because the purpose of itrader is to show how legitimate a person is or I'm wrong?
If anything I would promote the use of positive feedback if you were refunded. One of the main purposes of iTrader is to identify trustworth users and scammers. If you had a positive experience with a trade with another user, and they even had the respect to refund your money because you were not satisfied, they definately deserve a point.
Exactly my thoughts! Main purpose of Itrader is to differentiate legitimate dealers among scammers. So there should be an itrader for such deals
