On the iTrader submit feedback page, it says: Since it specifies 'money changed hands', I am wondering if you are allowed to exchange iTrader for a non-monetary trade (ie. eGoods for Service, Service for Service, etc), as long as the goods/services traded are allowed to be sold in the first place? Thanks.
If that is the case, what is the purpose of the "Trade" option in the "You were the:" field dropdown menu?
If you are buying or selling something then you can exchange itraders. If you are trading something like exchanging your articles or blog commenting or forum posting etc. Then you are not supposed to exchange itraders. Hope that is clear
Only exchanges where money actually exchanged hands and that amount was more than $5. Trading, when no money passed between parties, is not applicable for iTraders.
Oops , I think there is a big misunderstanding here . You are talking about WTB and WTS threads but Im talking about WTT threads . In WTT threads no money exchanged but people can leave Itrader . For example I start a new web hosting business then I open a WTT thread in order to offer affiliate marketing opportunity . Next you register in my system and make some bucks from there . In this case both of us are satisfied from this cooperation so we are allowed to share Itrader . If its not right then mods must remove "Trade" roll from feedback system . Other example is for domain name bartering case . I have aaa.com and you have bbb.com , We barter them , So we are allowed to share Itrader .
So if you give a itrader for WTT thread then your account will be terminated immediately.. A quote from your first post.. Read this again
Lol , I have not submitted or received any feedback for WTT threads So what is the rule of "Trade" in this system ?
When using this you aren't getting positive iTraders AFAIK. But it can be used as a metric to see if a person can be trusted or not, for example when you exchanged domains as the newbie can't pay for it, he did a legal transaction because he didn't scam you, but there was no money intended. So he is reliable (+1 trade), but doesn't get extra feedback. I don't know if this makes sense or not, but this is what I think of it, but indeed it's awkward..
The rule is money has to have exchanged hands in order for iTrader to be allowed to be given. And that amount has to be above $5. Giving iTrader for trades, ddd.com for ggg.com is not allowed.
None of them, unless of course you are trading money for goods or services. In which case you are buying or selling. The rules are very simple and straight forward. You must complete a transaction involving money, and I do believe it has to be over $5 as previously mentioned. The 'Trade' option mention in the iTrader panel, is there to make you ask questions. Disregard it and don't use it. iTrader is going to be phased out completely anyways at some point in the future and will no longer be used so don't count on an update or removal of the 'Trade' option. - Brandon
Thanks , So the conclusion is not using "Trade" option in Itrader system But FYI Itrader is not going to revoked completely , Shawn is refining and working on that in order to decrease the fakes feedbacks .
Thanks for your input. I would appreciate if a DP staff member could clarify the purpose of the "Trade" option: is it an outlet for trades, so feedback can be exchanged but with no rating points, a feature in conflict with DP's iTrader rules, or is there another explanation?
