Okay i wanted to register a .it domain name. My host told that the italian domain registration company (nic) has a bit of an outdated system and i need to fax a signed letter to them in order to get a domain name within a week of the actual registration. Okay no problem don't you think? 1: the fax needs to be in italian (i don't speak that..) -> there was an english version also, so no problem 2: I don't have a fax, so it costs me €2.90 to send a fax in a shop 3: My host didn't tell me that i had only one week, and i was a bit busy then, so it took two weeks. -> they did not receive the fax. Understandable - My host submits again, tells i have only 7 days, i sent the fax after 5 days, too late!!!!!! - My host submits again, i sent the fax after 2 days, they did not receive my fax!!!! WTF Now my host thinks i am wasting their time and not sending the faxes so now they want me to send a fax to them and they will do it. What is this kind of b*llsh*t!?!?!?!?!?!?! My site is already finished for three weeks, and i'm already waiting over a 6 weeks to get my domain name. I want to launch my site!! The domain name itself costed me around €16, and €10 again for all those faxes... I'm really pissed off right now.. Damn you nic.it!
Tell me about it. We host some IT clients and one day needed to change the nameservers of a domain. It took them more than 1 month for something as simple as typing the new nameservers. Very frustrating experience.
well you cant buy an it if you are not italian(I mean you live in italy), as an italian cant buy a us domain. So dont say we italian are lazy, read rules! You lucky you didnt buy, because if you buy it and then they find out you are not italian they can take it away from you.
