It shows 69 when I'm rank number 3... is it normal?

    Hello,

I started to use your tool few days ago.
At the beginning I did not check much the results but today, having some free time I have done some test and here is one example:

My google search with my keywords
I'm ranked 3 when you tool gives me a rank 69.

Is there something that I did not understand? or a bug somewhere?

    Thanks in advance
    Ludo

When I search manually the URL you provided above. I find www.lubox at postion 70 and webhostingtalk.com at position 3. We may be looking at index from different datacenters.

Try this fantastic tool by McDar to view where you are on different datacenters

may be tool confused and loves that number 69 ?! :)
while it was intended for humans - may be compters too need more love ...

    or
    may be YOU confused ??

with YOUR Google search link you gave above,
you have entered the search terms

    "change datadir=/var/lib/mysql" to google ... ?????

that makes little sense in terms of site or site promotion or SEO

    because

a directory structure or path like
    /var/lib/mysql

may very easily vary from system to system from distribution to distribution - even according to personal sys admin likes and dislikes !!

depending on what Linux, FreeBSD, Unix or other OS a particular user uses

my own verification of above search term confirms that on a 100 result page you are WAY DOWN the page of 100 results. may be you have lost the chance for another position 69 ! :)

may be you had ONE single page optimized for that one (weird) search term - and may be that one page got lost in Google db for lack of visitors/hits ... for lack of being on demand by searchers.

on my own SuSE 8.2 Linux system that path would be
    /usr/lib/mysql

and my host ( www.addr.com ) running FreeBSD has the path
    /usr/local/bin/mysql

so why pls would anyone ever use such personalized path to query Google ??

I just tried with this search phrase as it was one of the last used by a visitor :)
It was just to see my ranking with this very very specific sentence

No, we don't have "private data centers". :)
