It is wrong to use infractions as a censor tool

It seems to me some moderator use the infraction system as a tool to discourage the opinions that they don't like or agree with. I do not believe this was the original intent of having the infraction systems.
Censor will not work in a long run and people will just move to other forums that will not permit the misuse of the system. Moderator should moderate for the benefit of the users and what is best for the forum and not according to their own personal opinions and like or dislike.

I won't speak for most mods but for me there are too many legitimate issues to be addressed to become involved with the highly subjective ones.

That doesn't seem to be what's happening (at least looking at your last several infractions). Your last five, for example, were left by 3 different mods so it doesn't look like someone's just out to get you for disagreeing with them or anything.

Looking at them though, I'm assuming you're talking about the dmoz-related ones. I don't know what that mod's personal feelings were on the subject, but the posts actually could have fallen under a few different infraction areas - 1. You seemed to be posting to repeatedly say / claim the same basic thing (so they could have given duplicate post infractions), 2. Some of them actually went a bit off-topic, and could have been given a "post has no value" infraction for being irrelevant to the question, and 3. They're generally accusing people of corruption (which really isn't appropriate here - I believe that mod gave you one-point infractions for them, but another mod might have treated them as attack-style posts, meaning they would have gotten two points each).

That's the best I can guess looking at your infractions, but I didn't see anything in there that got an infraction where it absolutely shouldn't have. If you had questions about a specific infraction that wasn't one of the dmoz ones, you can feel free to PM one of us, and we can try to give you an explanation for why you may have gotten it.
