It is virtually impossible for any US citizen to have a balanced idea of world events

The trick is looking at what other media say (i.e. non-US, non-Russian) to get an idea on what's going on out there. It becomes clear that the American MSM produced quite a distorted scenario about the Ossetia-Georgia issue

Hardly. Nearly every free press across the world is reporting this accurately and it does not put Russia in a good light.

For sure Russia will try to put things on their side but nobody can deny that the US media discourse towards their public was a whole blatant lie (what is the subject of the thread)

Georgia killed 2000 Russian civillians. So Sakaashvili deserved a good beating.

Why do you live in the West if you hate it so much?

P.S. Parroting the same Russian bs makes you look foolish.

What a random comment. Are you ok.

It is foolish to put everyone in the western hemisphere under one label as "The West" Why don't you just say USA? Most people in Europe despise everything America stands for these days.

P.S. are you saying Sakaashvili did not kill 2000 civillians?

    You need to read more:

I know how much you love cluster bombs. You going to keep defending Russia?

I'm not defending Russia but anyone here can see how biased you are. Georgia kills 2000 civillians and starts a potentially catastrophic war, Russia kills 12 civillians and injures some and YOU ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT RUSSIA?

If you accept those numbers then you certainly are not paying attention.

    1. I don't think Georgia killed 2000 civilians, neither does any reputable source.

    2. Nobody thinks Russia has only killed 12 civilians. That is absurd on its face. Have you been hiding in a hole?

Seriously, do you think you can just talk out of both sides of your mouth?

Finally somebody outside US (from Canada) needed to come and tell the brainwashed they have been fooled again.
Glad to see there are honest people who would tell the truth without regards to selfish interests.

Selfish evil interests are killing America's image and standing in the world and the hard heads are blind to see it.
    Too bad for America.

So prove it if it's truth. Something isn't truth just because you said so or somebody else said so.

What is your opinion on this conflict?

Russians baited the stupid Georgian President and his "foreign" advisers into invading Ossetia. Putin wanted to teach these people a lesson. Georgians are good people, but their "democratically-elected" facist leader, the Bush puppet, pushed the entire country into war.

What do you believe is the truth?

Every country and press have their own biases.

Every one is concerned with their own self interests.

I don't believe the US is alone here.

HEHE, prove? I guess via CNN? :D There was enough photos posted, what else you wanna hear? CNN wont say that.

    I dont think THAT MUCH:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVNblG9PJMk

Thats like showing London being bombed and saying its Moscow :D

But because most people wont recognize the small cities like Tskhinvali and Gori, american audience will fall for this BS.
