    <META NAME="robots" CONTENT="noarchive">

    This meta tag works wonderfully for my blog. Google still indexing it but not caching the pages (the cache link dissapear). The question is...

    - any negative impact for our ranking in Google and other search engines?

    - it's not violating any Google rules right?

    It doesn't violate Google's rules. Does it have negative impact on your ranking in Google? Only Google knows for sure, but I'd guess 99.999% no negative impact. There are plenty of legitimate reasons for not wanting your content cached.

    I use it on one of my client's sites, the site performs great. :)
