It takes a little to set up, but I have sen software that can search and bring back sites that also allow you to specify where your ads show. (this means you can target high search ranking sites as well)

You don't have to do anything special to be placed on these specific niches. Google does it all for you. Basically, when you create an ad and include the keywords you need, as you said "tripadvisor" or "travelpod", then your website will only be shown on sites, forums, blogs that contain these keywords in their content.

Additionally your ad will be shown on google's results page when people search for the keywords you need "tripadvisor" or "travelpod"..

    This really is bad advice.
What you're recommending is dumping everything into one campaign.
Always separate out search and display.
And use placements when you want to target specific sites.

He asked about specific keyword placement, I answered.. Rather than saying that my comment is bad, you could of just added more..

He/she didn't ask about keyword placement, they asked about display placemenmts, I've already pointed them to the instructions on how to do that, and I did add more - "Always separate out search and display.
And use placements when you want to target specific sites."
