Checkout the blog post which has the screenshots showing .co ranking higher than .com

I will post more with results.

Official? Where is the Google's origin statement????
This ranking hasn't nothing to do with domain extensions.
Likey.co is old website an has more than 50.000 pages in Google data, likey.com is new and has only few pages. This is the reason.

Did you checkout the screenshots ?

You can see the PROOF. What else do you want ?

Also i dont know where you are getting your stats from but likey.com is NOT new. It was registered in 2001.

And likey.co is not even a month old.

It would be wrong to conclude the victory of .co over .com citing just one example. Such result can simply be due to the far superior effort of the owner of .co owner over the .com one. Google anyway ranks the sites giving more weightage to the efforts over everything else!

Yes, .co domains ranking problem now solved and google allowed geo targeting to any country (like gTLD)
you can watch how to geo target .co Here

ranking has very little effect on extension. I have seen .IM ranked very much better than .com for a very competitive keyword.

I checked the screen shot and don't see where Google officially states that loves .co more than .com.
Likey.com domain may be registered earlier, but this site is still new for Google.
Check indexed stats for both sites and see what Do I mean.

you are pretty wrong to comparing the serp with a dead site!
i just check the .com site, it's under construction.

I guess we both are seeing different sites then coz i dont read under construction anywhere on the site.
It has been in the beta stage for i dont know how many years and months.
It has pagerank 2 as well.

It is unbelievable you are asking me to check stats and stuff. You are trying to tell me that a site that is registered on 20th july 2010 is NOT new to google but a site that has been sitting there for 2 years on a beta stage with a pagerank of 2 is NEW ?

Now pls dont come up and say the extension does not matter coz the site's ranking depends on seo and stuff. This is EXACTLY what i am trying to say. I dint show that thing to say .co is ABOVE .com i am just trying to say .co can beat .com

(and i will also tell u why i said it because all over the forums and thread people were arguing that .co will only ranking in columbia and nowhere else)

    I need to chill...

Not going to buy .co at the moment because it is much more expensive than a .com and there's no sufficient evidence that .co can outrank a .com

He just showed you that is possible. it's not about what TLD.. it's about content and website quality that make you rank better.
Google is getting smarter and that's the goal to make difference between what's valuable and what's a total crap.

I would not buy any .co domains they are certainly not as highly valuable as .com and never will be, they will remain the domain from Colombia and or a typo.

I don't think its because of Google like .co more. or there's no valid reason for that.

I have seen this happen with other tlds too. When you setup a new domain and optimize it well you can see a sudden boost in serp. But this usually last only till next Google serp update.

Also in this case .com is just old but not optimized. We can see if .co will last at top or not in next 2-3 months. I won't be surprised if it get sandboxed in next Google update.

The extension it doesn't matter, you could do the same good job with a .info for example. You just need hard work and a little luck sometimes.
