I have had to contact some blog owners when my comment went in their spam list. But that's rare. You should check when the post was made and comment on posts made within a couple of days. If you are commenting on abandoned blogs, that's not going to help you anyway.

Like everything that becomes popular it loses its effectiveness. There are too many tools autoposting hundreds of comments an hour and armies of cheap workers posting the rest.

I'm sure that Google has already devalued blog comments as links, dofollow or otherwise.

I have a blog and I have a lot of people who submit comments like "Cool domain name". It doesn't add anything to the discussion and my visitors who really want to read the relevant comments would just have to scroll past this stuff. So I don't approve them.

What were your comments like? did they read like you had read something about what they posted?

If you aren't getting your comments approved on blogs chances are you are either NOT commenting on the topic of that specific post, are spamming links, or violating the terms of use of the blog. Possibly all three. The vast majority of bloggers I know LOVE to get comments because it shows there is a community involvement. It might be a tiny community, but still there.

I'm going to guess that you're comments are spammy probably entirely off topic to the discussion. You're more than welcome to come and comment on mine. If it's on topic I'll approve it. I need some comments as I wiped all that were there out.

I agree with you crivion. A commenter which has a very good comment on a post attracts readers of that post to visit his or her blog. So take time to comment. Don't 'comment spam."

Blog commenting has to be done maintaining a fine balance between promotion and adding value to the blog, one is commenting on.

If your comments are adding value to the content of the post and looks very much part of the discussion, it surely would get approved. As somebody already said..it is all about give and take.

    Regards,

It's not a good idea to comment to someone's blog just to get a link. Blog commenting, in the first place, should be used as a means to build connection with other bloggers. Don't get too annoyed if the owner disapproves it. It's their liberty. :)

I haven't had any problem getting comments approved. You may want to take a second look at the way you're leaving your comments.

I think no one would like to block your comment if its really related to the topic and informative.Actually most of the commentors try to promote their products with the help of their comments.Thats why most of the comments are blocked by the admin

It is always possible. Your comment must related to blog content. Otherwise moderator will delete your comment.

You'd be suprised what you'll be allowed to do if you actually contact the blog owner. Tell them you like their blog and would like to be a regular commenter on it. Ask them if they mind allowing you to use your keyword for your name or at the end of your post.

You'd be suprised how many of them will welcome you. All you have to do is ask.
